Yes, Miami can be beaten... they have lost in the Finals twice.

San Antonio was hitting on all cylinders last year, it isn't likely that they do again next year. Their chemistry was literally perfect.

You think 5 times to the NBA Finals in 10 years hurts his legacy? Try jumping to a third team in 4 years... that will hurt James' legacy.

That puts the onus on the owner of the Miami Heat. All he has to do is match the Rockets offer and Bosh comes back. If the owner is not willing to sign Bosh to the money the Rockets are offering, you can bet James will be gone as well.

The Spurs have outplayed the Heat in the finals two consecutive years in a row now so there is a pretty good chance that if they meet up again with similar teams the Spurs will win again.

If you're Lebron and had entered into free agency with the hope of adding Gasol, Lowry, or Gortat, and Riley came to you with McRoberts and Granger....what would your reaction be?

Any team from the west would have won in the finals. The fact that SA was hot just meant that they torched the Heat.

On the other hand... going to the finals 4 years in a row = a lot of basketball and a lot of wear and tear.

The Heat era just maybe burned out. Wade is basically a shell of himself and its not going to get any better... Bron and Bosh have had long careers in the NBA and have a lot of mileage on them... the grind gets to you.

Cleveland and Houston both have young cores that can help with that Burden..... Miami next year would still be leaning very heavily on Bron and to a certain extent Bosh.

I think the Heat era has run its course.. the Big 3 are older/breaking down/ have too much mileage on them and have no one to help alleviate the burden.

    Yep. He's not leaving, imo.

Move on to plan C. Or are we at D or E? SMH.

This free agency period is taking forever for movement on the stars. Really frustrating

Any team from the west? way to exaggerate. I can easily name 10 lottery teams from the West that wouldn't beat the Heat.

I agree with Skip for once:

If I'm Chris Bosh, age 30, I take max deal in Houston. No state tax. Home state. Contender. Already has 2 rings. Not critical wins another.
— Skip Bayless (@RealSkipBayless) July 7, 2014

Everybody knows what he intends. The fact that he hasn't been on a nationwide tour meeting with teams after he opted out completely reaffirms that he intends to stay there. It's a matter of what LeBron does that will dictate what Bosh does. Something tells me Bosh is far less worried than LeBron about the state of the Heat over the next 3 years. For Bosh, he's won his rings, and there isn't pressure on him to win another. He just wants to be comfortable, and make the money he thinks he deserves (which is max or near max). If Miami can offer that to him (while also playing alongside LeBron), then he'll take it. Period. However, things get hairy if LeBron either A) leaves or B) Miami starts hemming and hawing about Bosh being there, and they start courting Carmelo with the money they have instead.
