You need to have a conversation with her when she gets back about how she needs to take more time and train the dog. A dog is an extension of its owner, and it sounds like she doesn't do nearly enough to train him/discipline him.
Do to the dog what you would do to your GF if it were her acting this naughty. Take pics or video to show your gf how much you loved and cared for her dog while she was away.

If you are serious about her, you need to solve this problem. The dog views you as a beta and you want to be viewed as an alpha. It isn't about scaring the dog or physically hurting it. It is about how you carry yourself. I suggest you take some dog handling classes. Also, it will probably impress your girlfriend. I will just say that dogs are excellent at judging character and social position. You can learn a lot from dogs. Good luck.
I didn't actually strangle the dog... Yet. She comes back tomorrow so I can deal with it. I got back from work, walked it for 30 minutes and took it to the dog park (there were no other dogs). Dog went to the bathroom so I headed back. When we got back to her apartment, I went to take a dump, when I came out it had **** everywhere again. I know the problem is she's too busy to have a dog, so it's been ignored. I would let it stay at my place some so it could play in the yard, but it just wants to fight my dog. And my fear is if my dog fought back it could really hurt it. King (my dog) is about 100 lbs while this little turd is like 30.
