Granger isnt what he used to be and is often injured. McRoberts would be a good signing but this doesnt fix the heat IMO
Until Bosh actually re-signs I am still thinking that Riley specifically put these contract numbers out to make it seem like the Big 3 are coming back. Worst case scenario is that Bosh leaves and they have cap room.

what if all of this was leaked by Morey just to get Miami to show their hand....McRoberts, Granger, operating over the cap, ect. Melo and James were flirting with playing together over the weekend and getting the Big 3 focused back on Miami might be the key to Melo thinking..."well if i cant play with LeBron, houston it is" far fetched. food for thought
To make it "seem" like it to who? What is he trying to "trick" into believing the big 3 are coming back? There's no motive. The end game here is keeping Lebron, not fooling the media.
Agreed that Wade and Bosh want to stay. Wade left 42 million guaranteed by opting out and Bosh has made it clear he wants out. The issue appears to me to concern James wanting Bosh and Wade to take less money so the Heat can be more competitive. I don't think it is coincidence that James has been linked to every team with max cap space, and now strongly linked to Cleveland. It is all a leverage play for James' camp. Riley made his move first, throwing down the gauntlet. Now Bosh makes his own leverage play, he has a max contract offer from Houston. Wade cannot make a leverage play because no one will give him max money at his age. The question is whom blinks first. Does Bosh take 14-15 million a year in Miami or go to Houston? Does James stand by his max demand (no doubt fueled by players union) or take a little less to sign with Miami?

Anyone tell me why grabbing Josh McRoberts is a signal that Bosh is staying in Miami? Miami right now has McRoberts, plans to re-sign Haslem.. That's roughly $7-8ish mil a year spent on PFs. If they really want to get Bosh to play center, they are going to be one of the worst rebounding teams of all time. McBob started all games he played in last year, spent 30 mpg on the court AND grabbed a whooping 4.8 rbg. Even soft Bosh grabbed 6.6 rpg, and their biggest problem is rebounding. The only other lineup I can think of is Bosh, McBob, LeBron just bullying their way for defensive boards... But then you have nobody with height to match up against Hibbert, Drummond, Duncan, Howard, Davis etc... I was thinking if the Heat had gotten Monroe somehow, it would be a signal for Bosh to stay.
Not at all. He's 32 years old, has bad knees, and averaged 8 points/game last season with a PER of 10.
