I remember hearing during the Finals that Bosh was interested in being "the guy" again. While I definitely think he would be more appreciated in Houston than he was in Miami, where the team was basically portrayed as "The Big 2" with Bosh always on the outside, I wonder if he would rather go somewhere where he can be THE star of the team, or at least the second option rather than the third. With a max contract he would definitely be getting paid like "the guy", but maybe he's had enough of being the third wheel? I have my fingers crossed, but it's tough to remain optimistic basically every one of our top options has seemingly fallen through.
The S&T option still offers more flexibility: MLE & BAE for free agents and non-guaranteed contracts for players already on teams/other S&Ts. Just some rough math... Dwight, Bosh, Harden, Jones, Beverley and 7 minimum contracts puts you ~$14 million underneath the hard cap which is enough for Parsons @ $11 million and the MLE to split between two players. For example, Houston could potentially build a team like: Beverley/Canaan Harden/Daniels Parsons/V. Carter ($3.0m) Bosh/Jones Dwight/Okafor ($2.0m) And Garcia, Johnson, Minimum Player while having enough room for another minimum contract in case of injury.
yeah, people need to not look at stats and see more of the game, bosh will be 10 times the player love is on defense which more than compensate for the offensive difference plus love never shot over 50% so don't you think that fg% is silly.
Obviously the antsy fan in me wants it to go down tonight. I think we see movement today using a little bit of deduction. I can't be 100% right because it's just like my opinion man.
Dirk and Duncan are also future HOFers so it's not really fair to compare Bosh to them. I'd take Dirk or Duncan at 35 over Bosh in his absolute prime.

brilliant, maori does it again. we set our floor as chris bosh, and our ceiling as kevin love. doesn't matter to me, i'm ecstatic with either.
Bosh is also a future hall of famer so your argument is null and void. This isn't baseball or football where it's difficult to get in.
