I know I have said it numerous times before, maybe to the point of annoyance, but I do not think Bosh is worth the max. $20+ million over four years? Heck no! If he was younger, more developed offensively/defensively and a top 10/15 player, sure, I would have NO PROBLEMS with that. I just believe that we would be overpaying for him, and I don't think I am alone in thinking that... I bet someone would then reply with: "Well, what would you do then if you were Morey?" I would try to get not a TOP FA but 2, maybe 3 good players to solidify the bench... I have complete faith in Terrence Jones as the PF, if we don't get a great PF to replace him in the lineup... Maybe like an Ariza, Jordan Crawford and then maybe if the asking price is good between the two teams, Rajon Rondo... LAST I heard from somewhere, Josh Smith could be had...? Would trade Lin + D-MO + Hamilton + 1st rounder + 2nd rounder for Rondo... Our lineup would then look like this: Rondo/Beverley Harden/Crawford Parsons/Ariza Jones/? Howard/? Then sign a backup PF and C to decent contracts and there you go!
I'm hoping he is willing to take 15 or 16 per year to give us some flexibility going forward. Clearing room via losing Asik + Lin is one thing but having to gut the roster scares me a bit.
Don't hold your breath. These guys rarely take a penny less. Heck, we can all look back to last year and say that if Dwight had taken 1 or 2 million less we'd be in a different spot here today as well.
Players are getting annoying at the notion that they need to take less to win. That's why pretty much all the free agent signings this year so overpriced.

Wouldn't the league HAVE to make this info available by July 10th? That's the day the FAs and teams can officially sign agreements.

Bima also said last night that a sign and trade in a multi team deal is an option to....

Rockets could give Bosh full max deal in a 4-team S&T (Asik to NOP; Lin to PHI) w/o needing to send ANY salary to MIA. Yes it would be available before the moratorium ends. The league has already given teams the guidelines. If it changes it won't be by enough to matter.
Pretty sure, no matter what, if we sign and Parsons and Bosh to contracts this off season we will have little room besides MLE to offer FA next 2 seasons.
