Nothing personal. But post like these are the ones I refer to when talking about blind praise of Daryl Morey. I just think he gets WAY too much credit. Ignore the media? Morey's been using the media since he got here. Last year he leaked information that he'd be trading Asik on a certain date, that day came and went. He's always leaking stories to the media. He's definitely not ignoring it With that said, if it's true Bosh is on his way here that's a great move. This is offseason is crucial for us
It puts an elephant in the room when they're discussing how Bron isn't taking a pay cut but everyone else needs to or he's bolting. Like if you had a long time girlfriend and you're dragging your feet on getting married. Then one day her old boyfriend shows up at her work and proposes to her out of the blue. Didn't really change anything between you. Just makes you think about things ...
I don't think it's really an issue, because with the exception of the two transcendent talents, who would turn the team into their own, Bosh is basically the best fit around, since he like, plays defense at a high level.
Bosh can't have a no trade clause? If I was a star and I was going to the rockets I would demand one ha
He doesn't have anything to hide. He does what he does and he lets it be known. He's one of the most candid GM's in sports. "Leak" the Asik story? He posted a for sale sign on the back of the guys jersey. Because... he wanted to trade him.
Yep. I think Kevin Love is just the kind of guy who would leave for LA. I don't think he really wants to be here.
Yeah, like I've said, the Rockets don't "leak" things the way other teams do. They tell the media things when they want to, but most of the other insider stuff people claim comes from the Rockets is false. Like the Rondo-Parsons stuff last year that came from insiders. Morey flat out said it wasn't true and laughed at it and Ainge up in Boston said it wasn't true. Yet people still buy it here. This is what usually happens around here: Clutchfans gets enamored with a player (Rondo, Milsap, etc.) and start posting over and over ridiculous theories about how to get them "insider" comes along and starts feeding hype about player clutchfans has mentioned media talks about said player, clutchfans takes it as validation of "insider" nothing happens with any of these stories Clutchfans gets mad at Morey
@BillSimmons: For NBA fans, what's the most fun free agency outcome? Isn't it LeBron to Cavs, Melo to Bulls and Bosh to Houston? That's an NBA earthquake.
When is anyone going to make a decision? c'mon, Melo and Lebron, make a decision already. This can't go on forever.
Bosh in my view is a better fit than Melo, but it doesn't really matter with Harden keep isoing and being Haren.
Add Bosh to that list. If he signs, the dominoes will start falling in rapid succession. It's just a waiting game between all 4 of them, for some weird reason.
That's pretty much the nightmare scenario in all this, no? Trade away Parsons, Jones, Papanick and picks for Love in hopes that he stays. Then watch him bolt for the team he always wanted a year later. On top of that, LA would have Melo (just my prediction), Randle and Kobe's contract coming off the books a year later. Room for another big name. That's the prospect Laker fans are digging their teeth into.
Somebody PLEASE photoshop this gif into Melo/Bosh instead of Harbaugh/Strong Spoiler I will rep you forever
I think the Dwightmare and Lebron sweepstakes should have taught all of us that these reports about where players want to play, will refuse to play at, etc. are usually full of crap. The Rockets are a contender now, so if Love is willing to walk away from that for a rebuild... more power to him.
