So Troy Daniels is as good as gone? What a dumb move if so. Who's his agent? This has to be a favor done for an agent in an effort to land another one of his clients.
Thanks for telling me what I already know. What does that have to do with who I'd rather have though?
Well, next time I'll be sure to check with you to make sure my thoughts are relevant before I actually post.
Well...I was being Sarcastic... Don't care what Omer wanted or didn't want. Him starting next to Dwight wasn't going to work.
No. I'm of the opinion that Bosh isn't as good of a player as Kevin Love and Kevin Love would do more to help this team, even though Bosh is better defensively.
Not the max he'll be getting, perhaps, but he's exactly what we were missing last year. Hell, Detectives Benson and Stabler had an open-and-shut case when they investigated the crime perpetrated on the Rockets. LaMarcus Aldridge is serving 10-to-15, no chance at parole.
Great write up. I assume that Morey's plan has been to use the Room Exception on Daniels, because otherwise this deal still doesn't make sense. If we did this, what is the most we could offer Johnson?
Maybe, but becoming a better poster really isn't something I'm willing to invest too much time in though. Good luck with that though. Maybe your great posts will win the whole internets one day.
Bima, If the Heat know they are not going to resign Bosh (particularly if they are trying to sign Melo) couldn't the Rockets agree to the sign and trade but complete their deals with Parsons and Daniels first? Potentially they could go ahead and sign Clint Capela as well. Just looking at the Rockets salary I would think the sign & trade rout would still be the way to go. HTML: Name Salary Dwight Howard $21,436,271 James Harden $14,728,844 Terrence Jones $1,618,680 D. Motiejunas $1,483,920 C. Parsons $12,000,000 P. Beverley $915,243 Isaiah Canaan $816,482 R. Covington $816,482 Troy Daniels $1,500,000 Josh Powell $1,310,286 Nick Johnson $800,000 Clint Capela $991,000 Chris Bosh $20,700,000 That's 13 players and makes the Rockets salary $79,117,208 for this season. It also leaves $1,882,792 worth of money the Rockets can spend before reaching the $81,000,000 apron to sign 2 more players in order to bring the Rockets roster to 15 players. Obviously the salaries for Parsons and Daniels are just estimates but I would assume they are not too far off. The Rockets could also cut the non-guaranteed contract of Josh Powell if they needed more salary space. Edit: Actually I don't think it would make a difference if the Rockets completed the sign and trade with Bosh 1st since they would not have to rescind Parsons or Daniels RFA rights to gain any cap space prior to a S&T deal.
I do agree that Love is the better player but as many have mentioned, he is not a free agent and Bosh is. Getting Bosh won't cost us losing Parsons, picks and valuable draft picks. If all things were equal yes I'd take Love but things aren't.
