Unreal...no one knows what the hell is happening. All this noise about the Rockets being "heavily engaged" with a guy the same reports say they haven't actually talked to yet. Where am I? What sorcery is this?

Speculation fueling twitter followers and interest in more speculation.

Let them. Melo won't make Miami any better than bosh did. They will be even more thin at the 5. **** em

Miami *secretly* hoping Bosh walks away. ;)

We like you, we don't necessarily want to push you out the door, but hey, go explore your options elsewhere! If you sign elsewhere, that'd be "unfortunate"(not really)!

Now we can go offer Carmelo Anthony!

So, when are we going to start tracking Les and Morey's plane to see if he flies to Miami?

All I know is everyone is just kind of waiting to see what other players do, when the first domino falls the rest will follow.

How is Bosh holding up the process? If Lebron and Melo wanted to play together so badly Miami would have signed them already and let Bosh go.

This makes me think Lebron really is considering leaving and everyone else is just waiting to see where he'll end up.

Bosh will fit in perfectly with this team offensively. Defensively, he can coast some more and have more energy to attack the boards.

Irrelevant. It's all about taking advantage of opportunities. Duncan cost more than that in his 11th year. Rockets have to get one of these guys now. It's really their last good opportunity.

I don't even think that Lebron, Melo, wade is better than Lebron, bosh, wade. Can't underestimate what a true 4 brings to that lineup. A true 5 is what they so badly needed and will still need. Plus, defensively they are much much worse.

Can somebody explain to me why the Heat wouldn't just go after Melo if that's what they really want to do and just let Bosh walk?

A complete guess by SAS. All speculation...nothing substantive to report other than that nothing is happen...so they'll make guesses to fill a 24 hour news cycle.

Yea bosh was the glue all 4 years, able to take over at any time yet okay with taking a back seat. We'd have 3 legit first options who can effect the game without scoring.

Bosh would be great fit, good defender, can stretch the floor, and could
    Move back to PF

Bosh is an outstanding PnR defender, good spacer, intelligent, excellent 3rd option.

    Parsons GOAT 4th option?

If he doesn't pull his weight with that contract I can see the other players being disgruntled with him especially Dwight & Harden. It could be another Pippen situation.

    Actually, everything adds up correctly.

This was orchestrated beautifully by Daryl.

They probably talked to Garcia about his future in the team, that's why Garcia decided to opt out of his player option that is worth $1,316,809.

Then, they declined the options of Powell ($1,310,286) and Hamilton ($1,310,286).

After that, they released a statement regarding the team options of Daniels ($816,482) and Parsons ($816,482).

In doing all of this, it saved Houston $6,517,531.

After dealing with the player option and team options, they dealt Omer Asik ($8,374,646).

The only dominoes left are Casspi ($1,063,384) and Lin ($8,374,646).

If they waive Casspi before the 5th of August, his contract for this upcoming season becomes not guaranteed.

Finally, trading Lin is the last piece to the puzzle.

In total, this would save Houston $24,330,207.

That is good enough for Bosh's supposed salary (4 years for $96 million).
