He didn't look ready for the party all right. I am sure he is sufficiently humbled now, and knows some things he must work on to succeed at the major league level.

Sometimes I would almost rather this happen with young players right out of the chute. What's irritating to me (and frustrating for the player, I'm sure) is when a hitter comes up and tears the cover off the ball for a month or two, sets an unrealistic bar for his production, and never comes anywhere close to reaching that level again. Sometimes it takes a couple of years before everyone comes to terms with the fact that the guy just had a hot couple of months to start his career.

Richards definitely has something on top of his hat that he touches every once in a while .

Yeah but who knows how hard he actually throws without it , remember Pineda for the Yankees dropped about 5-6 mph off his fastball without using it

God, a 3 run lead feels like a whole lot with this team :(

It never ceases to amaze me when Ashby and Blum marvel at how Pitcher X is able to have so many strike outs or how the Astros seem to run into a good stretch of pitching from the opposition.

I realize we're not good yet, but the losing still sucks.

Particularly when it's preceded by a run of good play that got us all excited about the future.
