actually king drew in one of his first post revealed that his dad had some work affiliation with mark berman. so im sure he hears snippets of information. now the validity of that information is questionable

Is there one person in this thread that considers 'DYST Now' a legit source? They are literally picking the most probable outcome and hoping they're right to gain credibility. Possibly like King Drew last year. This time he's saying Houston when it's much less likely, so we shall see.

As long as they want. Hence the term free agent.

Free agents can make a decision whenever they want.

    Folks are already getting restless.

Just posted in the other thread about how the Big 3 may wait til the 10th to reassess things. What if 'Melo waits 'til the 10th?

I don't think nothing will ever be as crazy as that Dwight Howard thread from last year during free agency. That thread was so epic.

LeBron might still sign back with Miami, and that means Bosh is gone too. Soooo

Guys calm down we didn't even know what Dwight was going to do until 3:00 pm on the 5th... And he made his decision quickly. this is a career defining move for him, he should take his time.

Anthony and Bryant are not winning anything together. A 36 year old shell of himself Bryant and a 30 year old Anthony? Good luck with that.

If Anthony isn't signing in HOU, I actually prefer he goes to LA because the rest of that team is garbage and they will be saddled with Anthony down the line. Heavy mileage on Anthony... Which is fine with a team like Houston or Chicago that is built to win.

This idea that the Lakers "take care of their players" is nonsense. How well did they take care of Lamar Odom? Pau Gasol? Shaq? What about Phil Jackson?

Everything should be wrapped up by the 10th. Teams, agents, and players have had plenty of time to work through various issues.

Isn't Melo's agent still Leon Rose - the CAA guy? I would think any "Melo to New York" rumors are coming from him - after all, they can offer him more money there than anywhere and CAA is closely tied to New York's management (outside of Phil now). Seems like Melo's agent has a vested interest in keeping Melo in NY unless Rose/CAA is trying to make a power play to gain control of the Lakers in the same way they have for the Knicks(see the Chris Smith in NY travesty).

I mean if this is a case of a player being manipulated by agents and Melo is dumb enough to think that's the smartest basketball play - then he deserves whatever mediocrity will follow his career. He's a great player no doubt, but there is little chance a guy with a non-basketball motive is going to lead a team to win big in the NBA - this isn't a Callipari collegiate team....
