One thing I've wondered about this, would doing that predicate Dwight getting rid of Fegan? agents may have fiduciary duty, but players don't need to respect it.

That's a pretty good team but it's not as good as Miamis big three. I can safely say cavs big 3 will not win a championship.

Interesting. Still think we should move for Love. He's a superstar and would be gettable while GS is dragging their feet with a no-brainer of a deal.

soft is what you'd call most near every pf except maybe 'I'm afraid of Shaq' Duncan if they were forced to play C.

Aldridge is a pretty damn good PF, but he's soft as tissue paper when forced into the C spot, same goes for most of them. That he spent so long as a C whilst being potentially bad on his long term health, has given him an incredibly unfair bad rap.

Wait a minute, if Bosh isn't considered a superstar, does that mean teams don't view him that way? If so, they would probably be unlikely to offer him the max if he leaves. We'd be his most likely suitors, no?

Max doesn't mean superstar, the Hayward rumours and other max contracts should tell you that.

Bosh seems too soft, but Carmelo doesn't?

I, personally, think Bosh is a better fit for our team. I think Carmelo is the better overall player, but Bosh fits better.

For me, Carmelo seemed more likely to leave his current team than Bosh, and for us to try to get Bosh we would have to overpay what he is actually worth. May not be a terrible thing.

If we don't get either, then possibly turn our attention to trying to trade for Parsons (plus draft picks, Jones, etc) for Love, and using the MLE on a vet SF (someone like Marion?)

None of those options seem to be very likely by themselves currently. But the fact that they are all still options has to give us some hope for something working out?

Carmelo is the opposite of soft.

That's ridiculous. Dwight wouldn't fire his agent over that.

Carmelo, come to LA, we got Gasol!
Carmelo, come back to NY, we're getting Gasol!
    Jeanie vs. Phil!

I love this move actually. Give us Bosh, let us retain Mr. Handsome and make a run at the power house of the east from Cleveland.

Why? Is it because he doesn't play much defense? OR maybe because he is reluctant to play PF, even though the numbers have shown that he is just as effective or maybe even more effective there?

He's a good player. He's a good shooter and has a good post-up game. I'm not trying to say he's not.

But if someone claims that Bosh is soft, I can't see any reason why the same wouldn't be said of Melo.

In theory sounds great. Too bad LBJ wouldn't go to Cle.

Melo and Kobe played basketball today at UCLA.

Cheap shotting someone then running away is about as soft as it gets.

I agee totally, bosh is a better fit. I would just rther have Love over Bosh.

Hopfully Mello makes up his mind today so we can move on. Either way, I just want the team better. I just dont want the Rockets to loose out on all of the players they are targeting.
