Chris Bosh is as soft as baby s h i t. if he comes here it'll be a disaster dude is past his prime and he disappears a lot during big games.
I don't care if he's "soft." Bosh fits the Rockets needs at that position perfectly. The Rockets don't need a power forward to throw the ball to and work in the paint. They need a guy that can hit 15-20 foot jumpers, and even be a threat from three. They need a guy with length to match up with taller power forwards that eat Terrance Jones for lunch. Bosh does all those things well. Bosh also doesn't have to be the interior enforcer or rebounding machine in Houston, as that's Dwight's job.
Exactly. Bosh is a good fit for us, but the Rockets are an even better fit for him. No more playing repeated crunch time minutes at an unnatural position. Rebounding is considered icing on the cake and not something we desperately need from him. The man would instantly create space for everyone else on the court. Another note about Bosh... he's added the 3 pointer to his arsenal this year, but his overall FG% was still outstanding. Yes, a lot of that has to do with LeBron and Wade, but we have Dwight and Harden who are definitely going to free him up to play his game one on one or often, one on none. On top of it all, signing Bosh allows us to keep Parsons.
With some true offense coming from the 4 spot, I imagine Parsons will be able to dedicate his energy towards the defensive end. He originally saw time as a rookie because of his defense, so there is no reason to think that he can't get back to (at least) being a plus defender.
I would disagree and I'd be more like Bosh and Parsons <<< Love and Paul Pierce (or some vet we can get on the cheap).
I don't know about him... but I'm okay with it. What is the alternative? Pass up on him so that you can save a few million in space and instead go with some "meh" players instead? If you have to over pay a little bit to get him to come here, then so be it.
I agree with bmd....I'd give him the max since at this point we're looking for the last big piece in a short window with Howard. Plus I think he's a better fit than melo and possibly even love since I think his defense is better. The only down side is his age on that contract. By year 4 he could become a liability much like wade is now so he might be harder to move then. Given that we need to make a major third star acquisition this year (so we can start putting the rest of the roster together) my preferences are 1) Lebron 2) Bosh 3) Love (since we'll have to give up Parson) 4) Melo
You're underrating Bosh. I think I would rather Bosh + Parson. Especially if we are going to continue running.
I don't know why ppl can't understand this. Plus we would get to keep the first round pick we got in the Asik trade. Signing Bosh is is the best move we can make seeing as how LeBron and Carmelo aren't coming here
Bosh is so clutch he saved miami in game 1 and alot more games I only remember love choking in the free throw line against Okc
I'd rather have Bosh than Melo, honestly. Melo is a tad overrated right now, and Bosh is extremely underrated due to his role the last few years. My preference would be: 1. Love 2. Bosh 3. Melo 4. P.Gasol 5. Rondo Who else is left?
bosh is clutch as hell, he always seem to hit the big 3 when Miami needs it. Another one was like game 5 in Indy. signing Bosh, keeping parsons and that NO pick would be our best case scenario right now minus Lebron signing with us
