    I would also assume that if this is known around the NBA that teams wont be willing to help the Lakers by taking Nash's contract.

    lol so if the Lakers trade Nash he also gets a 15% trade bonus. So that 9.7 turns into about ~11 million.

    In order to sell a FA on being able to "pick their coach", we would first need to be capable of attracting (historically elite franchise) and offering an obscene salary to the Coach K's of the world

    Who else laughed at the fact that the Lakers FO is jealous that Morey has a trade partner with Sam Hinkie hahaha. I can't believe some teams are trying to get the NBA to interject to that too. Most likely Mark Cuban is leading that charge.

    Or getting rid of your coach when he sucks

    Best 2 and 5 in the league and McHale can't get the team past the first round but he's got job security because he's a nice guy and Morey doesn't think the coach matters

    Meanwhile Brown, D'Antoni can't win games, they're gone
