Krul was great on all those PKs. He guessed correctly on pretty much all of them.

    Dutch posters,

Why is Krul not starting? I don't find Cillessen all too good. Fantastic work from van Gaal, amazing thinking to save a substitution just for a goalkeeper.

Hats off to Costa Rica, but Holland deserved that. Keylor Navas is gonna get lots of ludicrous offers from big teams.

And he is big as well so he is a little intimidating for PK shooters.

Also helps that he plays mind games with the PK shooter before they shoot.

He was doing it today and I have watched him do that during Newcastle games as well.

I am also wondering how much scouting the Dutch did on the Costa Rica PK shooters and if Krul was given instructions on which players prefers which side.

Yeah was boring as hell but extra time it really got going.

I would've just laughed if RVP missed, he was just misfiring all night.

Maybe Krul is a specialist for penalties but they trust their all round keeper Cillessen.

Cillessen aint that bad .... he just got overshadowed by the likes of Neuer, Navas, Ochoa, Howard

Not just a substitution for a goalkeeper JUST FOR PENALTIES but a goalkeeper that had only saved 2 out of 20 penalties in the last four Premiership seasons!

    Goodness. TIM MO'FUGGIN KRULLLLLLLL!

The way he played mind games with the Costa Rican players. The way he guessed right on EVERY SINGLE PENALTY! Wow. Tim MFING KRUL!

I wonder what Krul says to players before they take the shot. What if they players don't speak English and they have no idea what Krul was saying?

This should be a good lesson for the Costa Rican fans who were jumping up and down celebrating when it went to PKs. They must feel very stupid right about now.

I did not watch all the game but it seems PK is the best shot they (C Rica) got. Am I wrong? Tuned in later.

I think the cheers were more for taking a Dutch team to the PKs in a quarter final of a WC cup since no one expected them to last that long.

I think their cheers were justified.

Nah, they're probably extremely proud of their nation. No one expected them to get to this level, they surprised everyone.

I dunno, I would have been nervous if I were a CRC fan. The Dutch have great players (minus RVP tonight lulz) despite their recent PK history. But I do see yall's point. This might just be my interpretation, but they seem more like "yeah we gonna win this" than "we took a strong Dutch team to PKs yuss!" kind of cheers.

Hats off to the CRC team though. Unfortunate they had to run into friggin Krul. I would have cheered for the Netherlands if it wasn't for Robben.

Wow, what a game. Ridiculously happy. Can't believe the Krul PK series. Robben barely dived, if at all. You're just judging on his reputation now, not what happened this match in my opinion.

Man, trust on this, the Dutch were more nervous for sure. They were thinking of Italy in Euro 2000 and of how CR beat Greece in the last match.
I bet you Ace and Arno were shaking uncontrollably and probably didn't even watch the PK's. My good friend who is Dutch turned off his tv and went to bed once extra time was over. That's how unconfident he was about the Dutch and PKs.

Dude give it a rest. There was no major Robben diving controversy was there? He played fair. When he was tripped he went down, that's how it goes.
