If we can't get James, I don't mind keeping Parsons. Anthony is good, but Parsons gives you a lot of other things that Melo can't bring. A home grown talent. Someone who is still young and has a lot of potential. Some flashes of brilliance at the defensive end. So I'm not too worried about our SF position. Jones has a lot of potential, but it will take a while. We don't have time for that. For that reason, I prefer Bosh over Melo. Bosh said it himself that he stopped playing in the inside because he is getting old and smarter. He realized that he can get more points from the outside and use less energy trying to score. The energy he saved from the offensive end, he used it on the defensive end. Melo is great, but he is a one way player. If you can get Melo, you take him. But I still prefer Bosh over Melo.
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Boshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
If the Rockets got Bosh, they'd be the favorites to win the title. Bosh is better than Melo for this team. The Rockets would have the best frontcourt and SG. The only man who could stop them is McHale.
If this were the Bosh from Toronto we were getting, sure... But this Bosh is 4-5 years older now. He's regressed... No thanks.
I think we'd all have to just trust morey sees something most of the market might not in bosh (similar to harden). Meaning perhaps his current performance is deflated due to position and usage and he can buy in more easily because of that. Gotta trust the man with the data and ability to properly interpret the information.
I'm not sure Bosh regressed. If you look at his numbers, he actually improved some aspects of his game like his 3 points shot. He just gets significantly less touches than he used to in Toronto.

Something not many of you are mentioning is that if Bosh came to Houston he would be moved back to his natural PF position. He's been masquerading as a C on Miami the last 3 years. He has never played with another dominant big like Dwight and it would really create some nice match up problems. It's a nice bonus that Miami has had him working on that 3, it would help on kick outs from James and Dwight. I never wanted bosh 4 years ago when the rockets went all out for him. I don't believe he is someone you can build your team around. Him as a 3rd option though is pretty damn solid an unlike Miami we would still have a stellar 4th option in Parsons. I'm all for Bosh even over Love because we would not have to sacrifice our depth.

Bosh would be able to play back up center. I don't think he exactly makes us favorites, but he would make up for the loss of Asik and some. Our team minus Lin and Asik but plus Bosh is a better team than last year, especially with a few other minor tweaks and hopefully this Nick Johnson kid forcing his way into the rotation.

@SportsTaxMan: via @TheNBACentral The Houston #Rockets are reportedly preparing to give Chris Bosh a max contract. That would be 4 years $94.4M #NBA
