Firing McHale and hiring a real coach would improve the rockets more than Carmelo...

I'd prefer Adelman, but it's not like he was running around shocking anyone with his coaching performance in Minnesota. Well, actually he was...in the negative direction.

Adelman was his own worst enemy. Let GM's manage the roster.

As soon as we move Lin, McHale will have much more freedom to coach.

Give me back my damn clipboard!

Agreed with OP, but too bad Morey is too stubborn to do so

    Nothing new here.

McHale is a pathetic, incompetent, clueless coach, an embarassment to the Rockets, a bottom 3 NBA head coach and one of the 10 worst coaches to ever coach in this league. Morey has done some great things for the Rockets but his worst decision without a doubt was hiring this moron McHale. For more, read sig

I'm not sure how that means anything. Personally I've made peace with all of the coaches since I started watching the Rockets.

I made peace with Rudy being a guy who will absolutely let his players run the team and do whatever the hell they want.

I made peace with JVG's only way to improve the offense is to "play harder" and use plays that are laughably easy to defend and counter.

I made peace with Adelman basically just trying to get his own players and those that fit his system. Will never hold players accountable for defense(only players that came to the Rockets as great defenders, Artest, Lowry, etc. played defense on the team).

I have yet to see a single Rockets coach where I could not find major flaws to his style. I accept this and simply hope that our coach is a good "fit" for the team rather than mindlessly firing every coach after every year just for the sake of it.

This thread is just further proof that some of the dumbest stuff posted on the internet is accompanied by the phrase, "just saying".

I'm not saying I've made peace with Milk Hair as our coach, but I'm just saying I don't expect the second round during his tenure... or much of any success for that matter (except for individual accolades that has nothing to do with coaching).

We haven't achieved much since our championship days, and I'm preparing myself for more playoffs mediocrity for the coming years. It sucks, but at least my Liverpool will be doing better this upcoming season. Something to distract me from my Rockets disappointments.

I agree with the OP. Whoever the Rox manage to get in the off season short of Lebron James, my expectations for this team will not be that high. McHale and Morey ball were exposed big time this past post season. Not going to set myself up for anymore disappointments.

Rudy T did a good job with the roster. Inside, out and swing the ball. It was simple but it worked. JVG was horrible at drawing up offensive plays but at least we had great defense. RA is a great offensive minded coach. With an aging Artest, Brooks and half a Yao, we took the champs to game 7. That was a really magical series for me.

I agree with you, all of our coaches had major flaws. On the other hand, McHale is on another level. We have the best center in the league, the best 2 guard in the league, an elite point guard defender, Omer Asik as our PF and we can't forget about Chandler Parsons. All this and we lose in 6. We were blind mice. It was very clear that we had no real game plan and strategies. Kevin McHale is passed having one or two flaws, he is simply a bad coach.

When KMH was hired he was the right person for the jod -- help a young team grow. (TANK on the down low).

Howard and Harden changed that same team to "win now" in two short seasons & KMH is the same coach we hired (his skillset has not changed) but the team has.

DMtheGM has a friend he needs to let go or move to a different posision but won't / can't

    Absolutely.
On the other hand, no great coach can fix a Carmelo, Harden, and Beverley back court defensively. It is a disaster waiting to happen.
