lol cause Carmelo ain't coming. Now you lost ASik, and you're going to have to keep Lin because you have no PG or just capable players period off the bench really.
There is still alot of solid players to be had. Bledsoe, Okafur, Hill, and Im sure alot more once the first major domino falls. Desperate teams make desperate moves. Like give Hayward getting max money. Like 6 million for Kaman. Like max deal for Joe Johnson a few years back.
Duncan dirk griffin Aldridge Ibaka Randolph We have Tjones That is a huge problem that will remain next year Unless we get another star, we won't be able to go far without upgrading our PF spot.
There just aren't any power forwards available out there for us to get. Bosh and love aren't gonna end up here. So was hoping we'd get another amazing player like melo to offset that weakness. (plus he can play PF at times)
I wouldn't say I'm "freaked out", but color me concerned for the following reasons. Once Parsons is signed to his contract, we hit our cap. No more additions without major trades after this season. So, this is in essence our last chance to add Free Agent talent (or trade for talent) before we have to sign Parsons (unless we decide not to sign him back and wait for next summer). Either way, without a signing, it means we go to war next year with no better talent than last year or possibly even less. That's concerning. Nonetheless, there's nothing any of us can do about it, so I suggest for anyone feeling over the top anxious to step away from the computer and check back in a day or 2. No sense flipping out over something you can't control...
No freaking out over here. I spent the day by the pool, grillin' food, drinking beers and enjoying the sun. Having a life if pretty rad, sitting on a message board all on a holiday freaking out over things they have no control over is pretty gross to me irl. Just sad, but thanks for bagging my groceries.
hope you guys aren't hit F5 tonight hoping for fireworks. i don't think anything will happen this weekend.
You have a pool? I've seen very few people with pools around here. Nice. People are soooo dramatico lately. It's great if we get Melo and no biggie if we don't. There's still Love, Rondo, and smaller moves. This was a 54 win team in the freakin Western Conference that is pretty young, with overseas assets, draft picks, and cap space. We should all be happy that we're even in the mix with FA's. Everyone is so damn greedy for instant gratification.
This is the biggest reason why people freak out. If it doesn't work immediately it's time to try something else. I recall plenty of people ready to dump the constant asset cycle Morey had going, but then guess what? It worked and we landed Harden. Then exactly what everyone was saying would happen once we finally landed that first star came true as well. We landed another star in Dwight. We have a semi disappointing finish to an otherwise great season in our first year with our 2 stars and so many have decided that what were doing or what we have can not and will not work. Madness.
Is Okafor good to go? He's an option. But his offensive stats are not much better than Asik. Defensively, Asik has much better stats across the board. I think fans should be worried on some level. Our backup center, the 7th best defender in the entire league and the top rebounder in the league two seasons ago, is all but gone. I know he wanted out but his defensive impact is not something we can easily replace. The reason I wanted Melo is because our defense has huge holes at PF and SG and Melo is one of only a handful of players with enough elite offense to make up for our defensive liabilities. Of course acquiring LeBron or Love would achieve the same result.
I honestly have faith in our staff. Even if we don't get Melo or Lebron you know morey has other plans to build this roster
