Reported for injecting politics into a discussion in Dish. We have a forum for that stuff. It's called D&D.
How do YOU know the Rockets don't have the MLE? (Technically, until the Rockets waive it or otherwise drop substantially under the cap, they don't lose their MLE.) The Rockets are purposely straddling the fence of having cap room or being over the cap. If they could somehow work a sign-and-trade for Melo, or make a trade for Kevin Love (or BOTH), then the Rockets won't need cap room and could retain the full MLE, the BAE and (if the Asik trade isn't rolled into another move) an $8.4M trade exception.
Decent pick up, but Hawes has been pretty bad outside of last season so I'm not overly worried. I guess we'll see.
Here is the Yahoo Article http://sports.yahoo.com/news/clippers-reach-deal-to-sign-spencer-hawes-232235978.html
if we began the offseaon by moving asik and lin, creating about $16M in cap space, and then used that on hawes, deng, and jameer nelson... or frye, ariza, and hinrich... or hill, marv williams, and chalmers... or kaman, sefalosha, and mo williams or any combination of a center, small forward, and pg from that list, then yeah i think most fans would be happy. most would be happier with lebron, melo, bosh, love, lowry, or rondo obviously... but what people are upset about is that while we wait for melo, those role players are not waiting for us. we could strike out and be left with nothing.
Wow you must be really bored. I merely stated a controversial fact about the guy, I wasn't taking any political standpoint. And don't snitch, bad karma.
Frak. FrakFrakFrak. I wanted him with us, he'd have been perfect. And now he goes to prime competition. Frak.
