Man, I wouldnt be so pessimistic about the situation. If our direction is taking us the direction of the Heat, as you put it, I don't see how that is in anyway bad. What about a direction of: 2 rings, 4 consecutive finals appearances does not appeal to you as a fan? Would you rather still be picking 14th every year? Getting that draft pick that's just good enough to not be good enough, year after year? Call me crazy, but I'll take the direction we're headed now, if the alternative is flat lined at middle of the road.

You should be more embarrassed to be an idiot. NBA team doesn't go after the best players, loses, fans complain. NBA team goes after the best players, is shallow and trying to buy success, fans complain. Some people just can't be satisfied. In the era of "Big 3's", one good player isn't enough. BTW, SA has one of the most famous and successful big 3's of all time.
I'm not gonna blast the OP because it's hard not to look at the Spurs as everyone's role model. I'm just not sure Morey can do any better of a job than what he's doing now. The GM is hired to acquire the best talent possible, and he earns an A for effort and results thus far from me. We all agree the coaching and system is flawed though. Things will turn around!
