You know what happens when you are too proud to kiss players' asses? You end up like the Lakers did last off season, running the best center in the NBA out of what should have been an easy sales job just because you were so full of yourself that you thought Dwight should be recruiting you, not the other way around. Foolish pride is foolish. If you are above kissing ass, you can be a proud man like Dan Gilbert, sitting in the corner muttering to yourself, nursing a boo-boo on your ego, full of pride as you lose 50 games. Or you can be a man, nut up, and wade waste deep into the s**t and do the job that needs to be done in order to win, even though it offends your pretty little nose.
Tim Duncan maybe I don't think they missed the playoffs since Timmy D started playing Also Parker 28th overall Ginobili 57th HARDLY TANKING
Honest question for the OP. Do you really feel any different about drafting a player who succeed and trading or getting one via trade/FA? For example, do you root more for Aaron Brooks over Lowry because Lowry was traded and Brooks was drafted? Would you hypothetically be rooting more for Kyrie Irving(imagine the Rockets tank and get him) over James Harden?
Where was the outrage for Luis when the Rockets went after Bosh? Scola is a greater part of Rockets' history than Lin who they tried to trade away last off-season anyway.
The only team in the West to make a move was Portland signing a backup center. You talk about freaking drama queens apparently they're hanging around here.
Again I don't care about the rockets getting one or two superstars but this star chasing has become ridiculous. I'd much rather rockets get some depth and a new system.
