    Kennedy responds (or stands by)

If that is true about Rose not being part of the Carmelo recruitment, that is just weird, and can only hurt Chicago's chances. I mean how do you recruit another superstar and not include your best player in the recruiting pitch?

So we're saying Kennedy is wrong because of what Broussard said? Oh, the irony..

We'll unless it is a DM anyone can see the post, and people here are basically following his account 24/7 waiting for him to post so they can post it here (or at least it shows up on their twitter feed)

Note that this account posted 3 days ago is quite different from the one Brousard posted:

Doing a workout to show Anthony that he is healthy is quite different from Carmelo comes by and Rose happens to be working out and didn't even know Carmelo was going to show up.

When Kennedy and Broussard square off in a credibility contest it's what happens when a stationary object meets an easily movable object

I agree with most of that except for the idea that Bryant was going to ever accept a significant pay cut. Kobe defended the contract he was given, it's not like he said anything to suggest he would have accepted less. And Kobe is right on the one hand about how much money he has made the Lakers relative to even this "bad" contract, but the fact is it still is a decision that has the potential to put the Lakers in the lottery for a long time. People think the Lakers will rebound because they are the Lakers, but these are different owners, and Kupchak isn't Jerry West. The Clippers sucked forever in LA, and so have the Knicks in NY, so don't think that location alone is going to save them, nor will past glories. Kobe seems set on being the first option on offense regardless of who they recruit, and who knows how he will bounce back from his latest injury. Regardless he is entering Micheal Jordan with the Wizards phase of his life age wise. Jordan still had some great games, but he wasn't a dominator any more, and he didn't have 2 major injuries to come back from. What star wants to come play the Scottie Pippen role as a second option for an aging and injured Kobe?

"sources" say different things every hour. Remember Dwight still was going back to LA according to "sources" hours before he was officially announced by the Rockets.

I find it strange that he hasn't signed and still needs time to "think".

If he wants New York so bad, why didn't he ink last night?

The media is pushing things too hard. They don't know.

I think it's Houston. He said he wants to win, and even with Pau Gasol, the Knicks aren't beating-Miami, Indiana, Toronto, Chicago.

We can promise 3-4 years of contention if he signs on from day one, and if you love New York so much, you can go back after your contract is up.

I don't think that report says anything.

Just that Carmelo needed to hear that to consider the Knicks offer.

In the end, as people will say...clock is ticking. He has to realize that resigning with the Knicks could mean a year or two without contending. Signing with the Rockets means contending right now.
