To be quite honest, I'm surprised that there are people in the Rockets front office who think we have a great shot at Melo. Not only were we not on his radar during the season(that was the Bulls), but Melo actually LIKES New York. Whereas there was every indication Dwight hated LA. Melo has also never shown a propensity to give up anything, not money, not fame(remember NY Lin?), not ball hogging. And he has a wife who has to be in NY/Chicago/LA to be relevant. We have basketball advantage over the other teams, but Melo has never came across as a guy that was basketball above all else kind of dude. I hope I'm wrong though, and Melo do declare that he'll be coming here. I do think he's so talented he can make it work very well here in Houston. But I'm skeptical that he's willing to leave the bright lights of NY.
Lets not assume that what they are saying is what they actually believe. While I am not asserting they are lying, there maybe secondary motives involved such as making other teams feel like we are closer than we might actually in order to narrow the field and make Melo's other suitors crap or get off the pot.

You are spamming your opinion to be noticed. I come here for updates, not to see the 1 out of 20 questioning Doc's tweets. Add something insightful, and quit regurgitating your opinion multiple times. We get it! You don't believe him. Cool, move on and ignore them.
Hopefully Doc's tweets that hinted July 4th, will come to fruition. What happened to CyberX? That guy used to post frequently with updates.
