According to this, I don't like our chances in the Lebron chase. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/lebron...heat-don-t-improve-roster-soon-030029268.html
Rich Paul, the agent for James, invited three teams – Cleveland, Dallas and Phoenix – to the offices of his Klutch Sports headquarters to listen to pitches. The meetings took place on Wednesday and Thursday, sources told Yahoo Sports. Phoenix met on Wednesday and Cavaliers officials met on Thursday with Paul. Houston Rockets officials spoke with Paul by phone, but were not granted a meeting and have moved on with their pursuit of Carmelo Anthony, sources told Yahoo Sports. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/lebron...heat-don-t-improve-roster-soon-030029268.html
Strangely enough, the former Mavs beat writer doesn't feel the same about Dallas and their pursuit of Lebron vis-a-vis Melo....
It would look bad if we totally changed our focus to lebron. Melo would feel disrespected and maybe it looks bad to free agents as just courting etiquette. I couldn't see us then having the same poster of James with a trophy and saying keys to a championship. I think morey is doing his due diligence and if lebron is receptive we will back off on melo. I def prefer James due to passing and defense but if we can get any superstar I'll take em.
I don't get how we can be "fully focused on Melo" when we have already done all that we can do with Melo... All they are doing is waiting for him to decide, how is that goin to take away from working on Lebron?
"The Cavaliers sold Paul in the meeting on a core of Kyrie Irving, Andrew Wiggins, Paul's client, Tristan Thompson, three first-round picks in 2015 and significant salary-cap space. For James, Cleveland would be a homecoming, the reversal of his infamous decision four years go." http://sports.yahoo.com/news/lebron...heat-don-t-improve-roster-soon-030029268.html Didn't the Cavs just offer Gordon Hayward a multi-year max contract? How does all that work?
Rich Paul, the agent for James, invited three teams – Cleveland, Dallas and Phoenix – to the offices of his Klutch Sports headquarters to listen to pitches. Houston is out
Mind boggling LeBron is about winning... Yet his agent invites the Cavs for a sit down. But doesn't grant the Rockets the same? Maybe a longer college stay is needed - so common sense can be drilled into some players. I truly, truly hope he goes to the Cavs and realises how bad he has it.
If one exec had the feel it was all a big smoke screen...then wouldn't the one that is out really be the one that is in?

Seems fishy.
Sam Amick:A person with knowledge of Houston's thinking expressed very little confidence that the Rockets were legitimately being considered. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the private nature of the situation. Why Lebron don't consider us by private nature reason?
I'm not familiar at all with those teams cap situations, but can't they offer more money than us, even if we gut the roster aside from Harden/Howard? Honestly that list of teams reads like a joke, it sounds like he's using them more as leverage to motivate Riley/Bosh/Wade.
