And by pretty dangerous you mean the best team in basketball. A starting 4 of Bledsoe-Dragic-James-Melo is other-worldly. Still yet, the chances of this happening are probably somewhere around .000001%.

This year's FA period has really turned crazy. Teams wishing LBJ would give them attention.

Maybe LBJ loves this fawning over him, and just milking it before signing with the Heat again. Also putting pressure on the Heat to underpay Wade ...

The thing about the Suns is they have the cap space to sign Lebron outright, but then have so many tradable assets without having to even touch Bledsoe or Dragic.

They sign Lebron, and Kevin Love to Phoenix probably becomes a reality.

Suns can give back in a trade Minnesota's own 1st pick, Lakers 1st round pick, Markieff Morris, TJ Warren, and Gerald Green.

And they wouldn't be depleting their roster. They'd still have Dragic, Bledsoe, Marcus Morris, Ennis, Plumlee, Alex Len, and could easily bring back PJ Tucker by matching his offer sheet.

    Dragic / Ennis
    Bledsoe
    Lebron / PJ Tucker
    Kevin Love / Marcus Morris
    Miles Plumlee / Alex Len

    That team would be deadly.

    They easily could.

Dragic is making $7.5 million, they can match any offer for Bledsoe, the rest of their team is on rookie contracts. Love is at $15 million next year and $16 million the next season if he opts in. Lebron would be around $16 I think?

Thats around $65 million if you add in all the bench guys.

They'd barely even be over the cap.

I must admit Phoenix does have the ability to pull this off. Lots of small contracts that are easy to move. My only hope is that the fact that they are in Phoenix will be a bit of a turnoff all else equal. Especially when it comes to Melo.

Knicks can't sign Lebron, not unless he comes in at the lowest price possible and just plays out this year and resigns for max deal the following season when they have cap space.

I personally think Phoenix is the worst city in America, but the Suns have attracted Hall of Famers before....Charles Barkley and Steve Nash. Not like nobody has ever signed there, and its still a large market.

    Howard/Harden/Parsons >>> Melo/Bledsoe/Dragic

Why on Earth are teams offering Melo such a Godly amount of money?

    Is he really that good?

This is a case of demand driving up prices.

Dude the guy is one of the best scorers in the league.

How is this the least bit surprising?

He's a great scorer and that's about it. The max is usually reserved for the top 5 players I would think.

With LA forking up the max, and NYK willing to pay even more, it seems to me more of a case of "Who gets Melo is the winner" than who is getting the best bang for his buck.

    Just my two cents though.

Lebron to Phoenix would be a M Night Shamaylan-esque twist.
