    But does the $8,000,000 per year that Ainge just wasted---er, spent on Avery Bradley (can you believe that ****?) preclude the chase for Isiah Thomas? Although Avery B. is more in the mold of the Pat Beverly point guard...defense? yes; assists? not so much.

    the big markets can attract major players in free agency. the small markets lose their stars to free agency and have to overpay to attract mediocre talent to surround their best players. all things being equal i'm sure collison would rather stay in LA or NY, etc.. so to get or keep guys like the kings have, you have to overpay. only the thunder and the spurs seemed to avoid that from a small market.

    sucks for them. they either need to draft better or hire better development coaches and get more talent out of those picks rather than spend on free agency.

    Thomas is as good as gone.

    I bet we could do a small S&T deal for him like Canaan and a future second for Thomas 4 years 30 million.

    I would love for Houston to land Thomas. He would be a perfect fit coming off the bench for Houston. Reminds me a lot of Nick Van Exel.

    I saw that too. SVG loves undersize PG's who can shoot. Nelson comes to mind.
