Let's just give them the title now. They won't lose a game at all with roster!

KC Johnson is one of the homerest of homers, but I guess that's what you get for a beat writer. About as homerlicious as Ramona Shelburne.

I think it is interesting that KC Johnson (Bulls beat writer) feels Melo goes to NY.....probably insinuating "no way would the Bulls lose out to the Rockets for Melo's services."

ESPN/Media assumed he would go back to LA..."no one leaves the lakers" "Lakers can offer most money" etc etc.

The general feeling was that he would stay with the Lakers, but that going to the Rockets would be the best thing for him.

    His Dallas homerism aside...

Reportedly had $26 million in cap room.

Take ~$10 million out, now that Dirk has agreed to re-sign.

Not quite -- there is the "paycut" avenue and the sign-and-trade option. Both unlikely.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Lakers made mock ups of Melo's No. 7 jersey per source. Unlikely Xavier Henry will be as offended as Jeremy Lin</p>&mdash; Mark Medina (@MarkG_Medina) <a href="https://twitter.com/MarkG_Medina/statuses/484799723744661504">July 3, 2014</a></blockquote>
