IF we were trying to get Toronto to engage in a S&T for Lowry...then there should be no doubt that we would try to engage PHX in trade discussions for Dragic.
I don't believe Phoenix has any intentions on actually trading him... It seems to me they just answered the phone. He's the biggest draw on their team and they have him at a cheap contract. Unless they really like Bledsoe... And if that's the case, Indiana and Houston don't have enough to get Dragic from Phoenix.
A package center around Lin + the Pelicans pick(which is extremely valuable). That's just a starting point.
Lin is a negative asset. Especially for a team that doesn't like to spend a lot of money. No trade is centered around anything plus Lin. If Lin is in the deal you are trying to over come his presence not brag about it. With all that said, I would rather have dragic than any available player, even Melo.
I'd prefer the Rockets move Lin/pick to the Sixers and the Sixers move Thaddeus Young to the Suns and we get Dragic.
I would give up Parsons/Lin for Gogi/filler and a future Suns 1st. Sign Anthony and use MLE to fill SF spot.
