I have no idea, because I don't know exactly what Melo wants. It's similar to Dwight last year. I know we were the best team for Dwight last year, but he was still leaving LA Lakers the glamor franchise.

Same thing now. Melo has his choice of Chicago, NY, or Houston. Clearly we're not as big a market. So even if we do offer the best team, I'm not sure winning is all that Melo wants. If he wants to be in a top market, then it's not us.

    No clue what he does.

If I were him I'd choose Chicago though. Even without rose that team has a good shot of coming out of the east. Add rose in and that team is really good. Plus if they keep Gibson he can play SF.

+ team are full of great defensive player who would cover his weakness defensively and he will be 1st option on offense

I'd say he is at least 60-70% Houston.

Houston has 2 healthy super stars, another player on the verge of being a star, can offer more GROSS money, no state tax, and a 54-win team in the West.

Top to bottom Houston is a better than than the Bulls. Not only can they offer less, but they are having to subtract pieces from there team last year to make it happen. Houston will virtually be the same.

Houston , today is a worse team than last year's team. Melo should go to Chicago if he wants the big city and chance to win. But his history suggests he'd rather win but on his own terms and take as much money as possible, which means Knicks are the obvious choice. Houston is too backwoods for his glamour lifestyle.

I heard that he listened to the Lakers sales pitch while eating a Cinnabon and squeezing out a log at the LAX airport...

The team that without Melo, got slaughtered by the Wizards? They couldn't even put up a fight against a 44-win team in the East without Melo. Now with him, you expect them to beat Indiana and Miami back to back?

Well said and totally agree. I'll be shocked if Melo signs with the rockets even though it makes total basketball sense for him to do so.

The media REALLY wants him in Chicago (to the point they almost dismiss Houston like we don't exist:rolleyes:). But the fact is if D.Rose goes down w/ another injury, Melo's in the EXACT situation he's in right now in NY. Just substitute Amare for Rose. Does he want to gamble with his future with a injury prone star again? Or take a slightly harder road with 2 HEALTHY superstars? To me it's Houston if he's smart

Pretty sure Houston is on his radar. Only problem is, leaving NY to come to Houston. Will his family like that?

I am leaning towards Houston. Reason being Melo has expressed in the past that he wants to play with Dwight Howard. I keep hearing and reading he fits better with Chicago. But if you look at our offense Melo is a perfect fit. Melo gets to play with two Superstars and wouldn't have to worry about shouldering the full load. If he goes to Chicago that's exactly what he will be doing because its a very good chance Rose won't be playing 80% of the games next season.
Our offense is more explosive and adding Melo makes it even more lethal.

Now I the only problem I see is, I don't think Melo wants to play PF. In Chicago he would play his natural position and that's the 3. Over here in Houston most fans thinks he will play PF/stretch 4. If that's the case we might not see Melo in Rockets Red.

I don't think Melo would be 3rd option. At the very least 2nd if not 1st.

I can't stand that broad. I can just see her in Melo's ear like "What about me Melo? VH1 will NEVER let me film my show in Houston!!!!". Ultimate attention w****

Houston, With Dwight and Harden couldn't get past Portland..If not for Troy Daniels, a D-league sharpshooter who hadn't played all year, the series might have been over faster.....Now you expect to add another guy who's not known for his defense and expect to get out of the west, which is even more stacked than the East? And we just traded the one guy who could come in and play some good valuable minutes on Aldridge?

    See how that works?

I think the East is easier...I think Melo adds a hell of a lot to that team. They are already good on defense. I think with Wade's knees...Miami may not improve much. Indiana may lose Stephenson plus they are all over the place...

I absolutely could see Chicago putting it together with Melo and using good defense to stifle opponents and get to the Finals.

If you're saying that he absolutely has a better chance of getting to the finals in Houston, I think you are just being a homer.

The Rockets have a fun team, it would be fun to go to work everyday. That means a lot considering the the long hours.
