So, Doc wants to tell us that neither Bosh (we knew that) nor Melo will come here (I'm starting to wonder if Melo will just stick it out in New York, but we'll see). So then we'd be down to Jordan Hill? I think Lowry would still be in that mix. Lowry, Hill, and maaaaaybe still a shot at Kevin Love (which is where we should be focusing our energy anyway, although this fact is what he's stated in previous posts).
I've been around long enough to know that Doc Roc's posts are never this simple. There's always hidden messages with cultural references, obscure words, sentence structure and capitalization. So yeah, this tweet is pretty strange.
Sooo we start the season with a lineup of: Lowry/Beverley/Johnson Harden/Daniels Parsons/Casspi/Cov TJones/Hill/Capella Howard/Dmo Then we trade Parsons, Tjones, Capella, and a couple picks around the trade deadline for Love and Brewer??? So then we end up with: Lowry/Beverley/Johnson Harden/Daniels Brewer/Casspi/Cov Love/Hill Howard/Dmo I like
I like how 2 pages ago people were still trying to decode an old tweet with the same conclusions everyone else already came to
Doc has consistently said throughout this process that we shouldn't be going after Melos, LeBrons of the world and just focus on Love. This is just yet another one of those. Personally I don't believe its the Rockets holding up the Love trade. I just don't see how a Rockets offer without Parsons is anywhere near good enough for Love. Not when the Wolves want Thompson+Barnes or 6th+17th+future picks from Boston. To me both of those offers are better than Jones+Lin+various bad to mediocre 1st round picks we got. I think right now the holdup is on Parsons. But until that's resolved, at least IMO, might as well see if Melo will bite. But then, if the Rockets truly can get a Love deal done without giving them Parsons, and they're holding their offer, then I would have to agree with Doc Rocket that the Rockets are wasting their time elsewhere. If we can get Love without giving up Parsons, Morey can literally sit on his ass for the rest of FA and I'd consider it a home run.
I'm all in for trading Parsons, Jones, Capella, 1st round pick to Minny for Love and Brewer. Then trading Lin and two future seconds to Toronto for Lowry.
So am I. But Parsons has to be all for being traded to Minnesota before this can happen. And we're talking about Parsons the part time model from Florida going to one of the coldest, smallest market in the NBA. Not exactly the easiest sell there.
well, there goes lowry. looks like doc thinks lebron, bosh, and melo are all out of the question, and that we'll end up with jordan hill.
DocRocket is full of ****. He *may* have a legitimate source for *some* Rockets news... but there is no way he has inside information as to what all of these different players around the NBA are going to do. He has no idea. If he had all of this inside information, he'd be working for ESPN or somewhere else. He wouldn't be writing ****ing riddles on Twitter.
That's not true at all. Writers spend years and years gaining sources and access. That's how they move up in the business. By the time you get to ESPN, you already have lots of access.
"Saying ILOVEU 1611 times won't pacify almost 54 revisers who need 2B Loved! Ring A bell on 2 WILLSONNNs B4741776 then U Eat, Prey, Love. 12:15 AM - 26 Jun 2014" Here's my go at it... We can't get in the door with Lebron. We need to be focusing on Love. 2 cast aways will be traded before July 4th (Lin and Asik), and then we're going hard after Kevin Love.
