Sources: Rockets have Lowry as 4th option after Lebron/Melo/Bosh

Ow well, at least we tried..seems like he really wants to stay and all they need to say is yes to the fifth year.

I was holding out for Love, Lowry, Melo in that order. Oh well too bad. And I thought Lowry was our best chance too.

 

Maybe we should just move on and overpay Bosh a little bit.

 

If he ever ends up leaving Toronto, and has to play there on the road, I wonder if there's a "please don't boo me incessantly until I retire" clause in the contract.

12mil a year...Im sure the Rockets helped get it up to that price. Thinking Toronto was first offering 10-11 mil a year ...but after taxes...he gonna regret it

I'm just starting to feel bad for Broussard. The dude is pathetic.

 

Well. This week has been somewhat less than ideal for the Rockets' plans. But there's still free agency left to play.

Yeah, essentially taking a good bit less money to stay in Toronto and never contend is really suspect. Toronto's offer wasn't going anywhere. Shocked he didn't let this play out after holding initially.

 

Sucks he's not a Rocket, but I couldn't be happier for Kyle.

Guys....it was going to take way too much, including a coach with a new mindset and a rewind button, to sign Lowry.

 

How many news have been broken by non-Woj so far? Perhaps ESPN can learn something from Woj. Stop making stuff up and teams may actually give you some real info.

 

It was worth a try. Lowry is worth every bit of his new contract
