    1996 team they had Hershey Hawkins who gave them a great outside shooting threat.

    Ricky Pierce was better than Hawkins, plus they had Kendall Gill that year. And 1996 had the 72 win Bullls. They had no chance to win. None.

    The Lakers picked up a couple in the 00's. Wasn't Mitch Richmond one? Old AC Green? Horace Grant? There were more too... Isiah Rider? But I think he was just trying to get back into the league at that point. Ron Harper? There are more... tons more.

    The title of this thread could be misinterpreted...the GREATEST ring chaser is Bill Russell. He caught 11 of them with the same team.

    I think it is different when good players team up near the end of their career while others join up with other super stars during their prime.
