Melo said he will decide in two weeks. But it could change.

Another possibility after reading codman's bros piece is that Melo wants JR Smith along for the ride which of course means no Lowry.

So if we really want to go down the rabbit hole maybe that's the handshake agreement, the Rockets sign and trade Lin, DMo, whatever else to the Knicks and get Melo and JR Smith.

Which would also explain why Lowry signed up and Boozer was amnestied simultaneously.

Trading for someone who just had back surgery probably isn't a great idea..

Remember when we amnestied Scola and we all thought it meant something? This means absolutely nothing other than the fact that a sign and trade is no longer an option for Chicago, which is a good thing for us. This means either Melo has to sign for significantly less than he would with Houston, or the Bulls have weaken their team by dealing Gibson.

The amnesty window is quite tiny, isn't it? Anyone remember?

    Woj:

    Carmelo Anthony?

In both meetings, Chicago and Houston, he was clear winning was his priority. He'll have to take less. Houston feels like they're in this and we're the place you can play with two healthy star players in their prime. That's 'Melo's biggest concern. Will he have a healthy Rose going forward? If he believes so, if he leaves NY, I believe Chicago is the leader if he leaves the Knicks.
