Who are players that are/were constantly changing team in hopes of winning titles?

Robert Horry and John Salley immediately come to mind.

Maybe Steve Kerr going from Chicago to San Antonio.

    Gary Payton.

Failed with the Sonics, so went to the first 'superfriends' team (LAL 2003/4) - lost the finals.
Tried with the Celtics the following year. Lost in the first round.
Joined the Heat in 05/6 and got his ring there.

Congrats for succeeding!! (heck, if I was good enough to join teams chasing a championship I'd do the same thing)

    Gary Payton.

First he goes to LA with Karl Malone to form the "superteam," then he goes to Miami after that doesn't work to win a championship.

LeBron has changed teams one time.
He is not a ring chaser.

Now if he changes again then yeah. I'll admit he's a ring chaser. Looks like he just wants to stay in Miami and get that max paycheck. He got his two rings, don't think he cares too much anymore.

Can't knock GP, he would have won in 1996 had MJ and the Bulls not had the greatest NBA season ever. That year, the Bulls lost 13 games including post season, and GP & the Sonics beat them 3 of those 13 losses.

    How about Shaq?

After Miami, he went to the Suns who were in the middle of their great run getting to the WCF a couple of times.

Then after the Suns, he joined King James and promised him a ring.

To finish, he tried tagging along with the Big 3 in Boston to another ring.

    Karl Malone
    Gary Payton
    Tracy McGrady (spurs)
Shaq w. every team since LA
    Sam Cassell w. celtics
    Shane Battier (heat)
    Barkley (rockets)
The ENTIRE Heat bench since Lebron got there.

Any player who takes below their market value is a ring chaser.

Mutombo and many Rockets' fans beg to differ. Payton's best chance to win was 1994 when

    1. MJ was out
    2. They had the #1 seed in the West
    3. And they had the Rockets'/Hakeem's number
    4. Which means they probably could beat Ewing too

But they underestimated Denver and Mutombo and got beat by an #8 seed. First #1 seed to ever lose first round.

Would you consider Tom Brady or the Spurs trio ring chasers? It's not as simple as that.

    In LA, yes.

    In Dallas, no.

    In Chicago/SA, traded.
