That might be the gayest thing I have ever seen!!!!!!:eek:Not that anything is wrong with that. ;)

That should of been in our presentation as a deterrent to going to Dallas.

I agree with the points that you brought up. Especially the health of Derrick Rose.

However, the Bulls were a pretty good team last year. They were excellent at the thing that Carmelo doesn't do that well (defense) and they weren't very good at the thing that Carmelo excels at (scoring).

I'm kind of undecided about Carmelo's fit in Houston, but I think he would be a great fit in Chicago......but nevermind that, hope he signs in Houston anyway!

Taxes, expenses, and the people I know who make that much money work 3000 hours a year. So they want to enjoy life and they spend a decent amount to. It's not nothing, but it's not wealth creation.

Try telling a bunch of doctors and lawyers that they're rich just because they're making low-mid 6 figures. It's upper middle class. There's a world of different between that and what people like Melo make.

Maybe you can't tell the difference if you're making $30k to $60k a year. But it'd be like me telling some African kids that there's no difference between making $1/day and $10/day, because it all looks like **** to me. IT'S A ****ING WORLD OF DIFFERENCE. Top 1% really isn't that much. It's pretty easy to go broke and drop far in terms of standard of living. It happens all the time. It's not like you're guaranteed that income for your entire life.

The point, that you seem to still be missing, is that if you are making 300k a year or more, you aren't a "loser in life" so we can just end this tangent. If Melo stays in NY, he's very likely to never be on a championship team and I think that's a motivator.

Damn that's more humiliating than anything I've done on the job since I donned a Baskin Robbins uniform when I was 16.

I didn't realize we all had multimillion dollar standards. Maybe for a rich athlete, no, the Woodlands is not their first choice. But to a normal person making an average salary, I'm pretty sure it would be considered a nice area. But to each their own I suppose.

Maybe you're right. For Lebron is a big factor, but I just don't think Melo is the type of person that would be bothered too much by that. Melo loves NYC. And if he was extremely hungry for a championship, then Chicago would probably be higher on his priority list.

Too funny not to be embedded. I think our chance landing Melo just increased....How's Lala's taste?

If Melo had a brain and still wanted to get paid reasonably, Houston is the obvious choice. I wouldn't give a s*** about the glamour of NYC or the extra year if I cared about winning, but if he does choose to re-sign there, it would be pretty telling of his true priorities.

Well Chicago wants him to take 15 mil which is a fairly huge pay cut and it would essentially just be him and Noah by themselves.....not exactly enough to win a championship.

Don't think there would be enough shots for Melo/Harden/Howard to go around unless Harden ups his minutes to play with the 2nd squad.

Cant be mad at Melo for not turning down 130m. Would love to see him here but if he stayed in NYC I completely understand.

^This. I don't get why every "ANALyst" assumes Chicago is the best team for Melo when all they got is busted Drose and Noah who got worked over by Nene in last year's playoffs, yeah great team.

Yeah, but they play in the joke conference. They won 48 games this year without Rose or Melo. They probably only have to win one tough round to get into the Finals.

Okay, but they will still be without Rose and winning the joke conference isn't exactly the goal, they'd still have to get past a Western conference team.

Ok, it's clear we disagree. To me, Noah, Taj, Melo, Butler and Rose is superior to anything the Pacers or Heat can put out there. You just need one good Finals matchup and there's your ring. And I personally would go with the Bulls, because imo Thibs is a top 5 coach who could take advantage of any weakness, while McHale is a bottom 5 coach who can lose you a series.

Notice they couldn't get Vince Carter to wear any of that crap. Dirk is a real trooper.

Shoot, I'd love 130mil too lol. I'm just saying we'd know for sure that money was all that mattered.
