Considering that everybody feels like he's a top 10 keeper in the world, and had props given to him by every single sports journalist in America after the game yesterday, I'd say that's a given. And also, why are you speaking of him in past tense? He's still an American, and part of Team USA's roster.

    Thank you.

    Also, in this point:
the part about "only won one game, and that was after being down" is INCORRECT. USA has never won a game EVER after being down in score. NEVER.

He's 35. Odds are this was his last WC. Might still have another Gold Cup in him, though.

And Mexico is basically in the same class as the USA. For all the talk about how much better Mexico is, what have they accomplished?

NOT the same class, either. Maybe same region, but same "class"? I don't think so. Light years away in technical skills and individual effort, and overall TEAM play and FULL attack and DEFENSE.

Maybe we have not accomplished "much" if you just want to say the World Cup Level, but what have all but 8 other nations accomplished? Also, you can't claim the region until you have more accolades here in CONCACAF.

When you compare, Mexico has more Cups and recognized championships, and almost all the accolades have come at the youth and younger level, Olympics, etc. U-17, Gold Medal, Confederations Cup. Your trolling got trolled?

before the last game i didn't hear much praise for him. he's 35, so he may not be around for the next WC.

U-17? Are you going to say Mexico's pee-wee leagues are better too?

I agree they have more skill and talent. But they've done no more than the USA has.

I think Mexico is hurt by it's arrogance and homophobia. You aren't owed anything just because you love soccer so much.

    You have to earn it.

Yet you guys continue to lose to the USA over and over and over and over again especially when it counts:
    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/LDnPIq3c0Vc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Not accomplishing much is an understatement, especially coming from you.
More accolades? Really? When that happens I'm sure you'll find some other crazy criteria to say that Mexico is still #1 in CONCACAF.

SpoiLy, you are not the arbiter of football on this board, or this state, country or planet. Only the one in your deluded brain. I know you think that if you spout your bs long enough and loud enough that some people on this board might start to think it's true. But that time has passed. And the last 14 years have belonged to the USA in this region. Enjoy the ride, there's more ahead.

Of course, I'm not the "arbiter" (whatever that means) ... I'm here to let you know that your country's team won't be going anywhere.

Right now, ask anyone, MEXICO is a better team, and played a lot better in the World Cup than USA.

So... you keep bringing up 2002... that's not even the same team anymore... so none of those will ever do anything anymore.

Both got equally far in the World Cup.

    Doesn't matter who "plays better."

    Only the scoreboard matters

Actually the US got farther -- took it to extra time which Mexico was eliminated during regulation time.

    Good point.

In the end, all that matters is what happens on the pitch.

Why can't we all just get along? I think we all can agree who really is at fault here, it's Obama.
