    I think certain players that have their jerseys sold everywhere aren't allowed to change their jersey number without putting in the paperwork the season prior. T-Mac had to do it to change to number 3, and LeBron did it in his last season with Cleveland (ultimately unnecessary because he signed with Miami). I'd guess that Lin falls into that category.

    I wish Hakeem were there. Melo has trained with him in the past, so there would be instant camaraderie. Plus, he commands respect and ties back to our back to back championship legacy. No doubt he had a huge influence over Dwight.
