    The fact is, it wouldn't have made any sense to spend equal amount of time in each city. Hou & Dallas are two hours apart by air travel so it made sense to split time.

    I chalk the extended Chicago stay as killing time.

    However, I dont rule out the fact that they definitely have a good spot for him. The only question I have is, do they actually have the $ cause to me it looks like they are going to be very short of what he should be making. But the fact that the extended time somehow = the reason why he's apparently choosing Chicago is BS. If you have a 4 hour layover in Vegas are you not going to hit the tables for a few hours?

    stop analyzing 2 hrs vs 9 hrs vs split time vs dedicated trip. let his dumb ass go to chicago - he wont be winning any titles over there.

    i would like to have him here for sure - but lets not go life or death on this clown.

    I think I figured it out the big five, but it requires New York and Toronto to play ball.

    Houston sends Lin + 2015 first to Philly for cap space.

    Houston sends Asik to New Orleans for Austin Rivers + 2015 pick

    New York signs and trades Melo to Houston for capspace for some incentive. New York gets a huge trade asset with the TPE and perhaps a pick or international prospect. What I am unclear on here is what salary Melo would be at. Would it be at Rockets cap space amount or Rockets cap space + the 125% or 5 million.

    Toronto signs and trades Lowry to Houston for Rivers + Jones + Dmo + Motie + whomever to get to Lowry's starting salary.

    Agreed, and it's sad. Our local media with feet on the ground even speculated it was over. Can our local guys break any news about the local teams? They're right there!
