I love Mike Miller and have wanted him on the Rockets for what seems like a decade now!

I'd be more than happy if he was one of a contingent of non star players that were added to make this roster better.

Check yourself, for you know not of what you speak.

We would have made upgrades long ago if it wasn't for that signing.

And you're going to tell me you actually believe that propaganda about the player option being the reason we lost Dragic? Naïve AND Idiotic!

The reason that excuse was laid out and that Lin was signed was so Les could continue to make the 100's of millions that he was making off BUSINESS CONTACTS created by the connections over there...NOT BASKETBALL created...and there is plenty of proof of this. Les has made around a billion dollars over there since Yao came over.

As to the basketball side of the equation...going into that series, the Rockets were only - 200 as favorites...The reason why was because we had nothing behind Bev who was sick and hurt. We could afford to have the mismatch with LMA and let him go off, but without Bev being close to 100%, it left a big whole and created TWO mismatches...and then the series became the tossup that it was.

    There. Class over!

You have zero proof of that. None. He has had the contacts overseas since Yao, but that does NOT mean he had to get Lin to keep those contacts....they already existed before him.

Normally when folks teach a class, they teach verifable facts.

The only part of your post that is verifiably accurate is the part about why the Rockets lost the series.

If the Lin Asian influence was such a factor, why did Morey cut Lin, who was obviously the superior player, in favor of Johnny Flynn over something as small as his 3M guaranteed contract? What is 3M of dead cap money compared to billions?

So because Bev was hurt, it's Lin's fault we lost? That's like saying when Yao got hurt it was Chuck Hayes fault we lost against the Lakers in 09.

And what are you talking about doing something long ago without that contract? That was two summers ago. Since then we've traded for James Harden, signed Dwight Howard, and have the flexibility now to sign another max player. I think we've done just fine with his contract on our books.

How did that cheek-turning thing work for you when Beverley was taking your job?

I really like Jeremy, but this irritates me. The NBA is a business. You can't take offense to the team talking about trading you. You're getting paid millions to play basketball. Just be glad you're there.

Then, why in God's name do we still have these uniforms that have Far East connotations? Why do we play in the Toyota center?

Jeremy was serving multiple purposes and then the wizard, Morey, gave him the chance to actually have a shot at winning...then he changed gears.

Why do you think Les held onto Yao too long while we, the fans suffered?

    $$$$$

Mad Max posted the numbers of how much Les had made over there awhile back...They are staggering and would be eye opening to the unenlightened.

Les hasn't changed about making money (incredible businessman)....As he's gotten older though, feeling that sense of mortality and having a genius who's allowed him to have his cake and eat it too.....Now, he can win and make AND make the cheese.

    I'm not complaining.

Au contraire, we're fortunate to be in the position we're in and as a Looong time Houstonian and fan I appreciate it, but don't forget how we got here.

That was before "Linsanity" in NY with Lin becoming the cult hero that he is.

    He was a nobody.

I'm talking about what happened then, because even though we pulled Howard..and Harden.....we would have had MOAR...enough to make noise.Just like in my post to R2K about Yao...If we cut that off and retool/rebuild earlier then we all don't suffer and the Rockets get well sooner/possibly the right way....instead it was about Les and the $$$$. There is continuity in all that I'm saying guys. I apologize for coming off so heavy handed, but pretending/not wanting to know/not understanding the realities of the situation isn't acceptable in my eyes. Too many have had the wool pulled over their eyes and their heads in the sand for too long.

He was a nobody who had shown flashes of skill and was the only Asian player in the entire league. If Les' valued the Asian market so much surely it would be worth keeping him over Flynn, who was garbage. Oh, but I guess that 3M dollars on the cap was just too much for the vaunted Asian dollar to overcome.
