As Carmelo Anthony leans toward leaving New York, Chicago and Houston emerge as frontrunners

I don't undestand why we compare Melo with Love. The one is FA the other have one more year in his contract. There is no deadline from TWolves and no guarantee he will sign next summer. Let's see what will happen with Melo.

Well a lot of the problem he has guarding PF's is that they are too big for him. I think he'd be a lot better (although still not good) at defending the 3

if what Bima says comes to fruition (a big IF ) i hope it puts to bed all the people who says Les is too cheap to pay the tax -- the guy has always been willing to spend - he just wasn't going to spend on a team that isnt going to be a contending team.

I mean the guy is paying over 6 million this year for Luis Scola to not play for the rockets - and he was willing to do this to free up the space that eventually was critical in getting Dwight Howard.

If the Rockets get Lowry, Love, Melo (any one of them) and retain Parsons - I am sure Les would go over the cap and pay the tax as this will be the most talented Rockets team (despite what Les says) since the 97 team with Barkley, Drexler and Hakeem

I don't see how other PF's are too big for him. He's a muscular 6'9". And he's athletic.

He should be more than capable.

Kind of feel bad for Lin

It sucks because he seems like a really good guy, but the Rockets gave him a 25 million dollar contract where he is going to get paid $15 million. I don't feel bad for how he is being treated, the dude got paid. You could make me play in the WNBA for that kind of money and I'd be fine.

 

Lin is a smart guy. He knows that if the rockets have an opportunity to acquire Melo they will do everything in their capabilities to do just that.

If that means Lin is on his way out so be it. He knows the business.......he signed the poison pill contract 2 years ago. If it wasn't for Morey he would be nowhere near 15 million in real salary this season.

 

Maybe he should be, but he's not. He's much better against other tweeners and completely outmatched by PF's with size.
