Obviously you are new to the sport of Basketball, or at the very least did not follow Houston when Lowry played for us.

any news on Lowry? I keep refreshing clutchfans/realgm/espn every 5 seconds in hopes of some news about him.

lowry presents the most realistic option for free agent signing this summer. lebron/bosh/wade/melo ain't gonna want to come here. houston doesn't offer that "sexy" feel that those players look for in their franchises, and their personality contrasts with the likes of dwight/harden really shows here.

I really think we should go all-out for Lowry. The Heat trio are staying together for sure, and carmelo was never interested in coming here.

Some dude on RealGM posted this on the Raptors board:

    HAHAHAHAHAHAH.....lets hope its true xDDDDDD

I don't love Lowry at those dollars, but if you really believe that he and Lin are the same player then life is going to be a cruel joke for you.

I got a gut feeling Lowry will come back to us.

Who's got the same vibe? haha.

I agree the Raptors are in a serious bind. After they dumped Rudy Gay, everyone assumed Lowry was next. But nobody thought getting rid of Gay would launch them to another level.

Raptors HAVE to re-sign Lowry at this point. I would be surprised if he left Toronto. But perhaps Morey's pitch and the prospect of playing for a legit contender can pull a miracle here.

This is very much similar to what I see happening if indeed we get an agreement from Kyle. It is very difficult for me to believe that we are going to agree to pay Kyle $48 million or so without having a solution at the 4. Perhaps it's not Love. But I can't imagine using our cap space on Lowry and not having a deal for a 4 at least on the level of Ryan Anderson.

With that said...I still think we are all-in on Love. And I still think we've got the best offer on the table for Love by giving Minny multiple youngsters and picks and perhaps Lin's contract or perhaps a player that we can flip Lin for such as Ersan Ilyasova.

But....the sign-and-trade of Lowry makes more sense to me....and probably has a better chance of getting done if we offer Beverley to Toronto straight up for Lowry in a sign-and-trade. From our side it would be Asik and Beverley's salaries going out simultaneously. We would complete the sign-and-trade as part of the Asik trade. Asik out. Lowry and the Asik pick in.

That leaves you with Lin, DMo, Jones, Casspi and Powell (non-guaranteeds), along with Canaan, and Covington, and potentially Capella and Gentile to use as outgoing salary for Love and Martin.

Uriji has no reason to help us with a sign-and-trade without getting something substantial out of it. It would almost have to be Beverley.

Its correct that Toronto would never let Lowry go. However, the Raptors have ZERO chance of getting out of the East, while we swept the eventual champions Spurs 4-0 last season. Lowry being our PG presents a legit chance at contention every year. Our players' talent level on a whole is much better than the Raptors' and unless he is seeking personal stats, he would be wise to come here.

Jeremy Lin + Sergio Llull for Kyle Lowry anyone??

There is no way Minny takes that hot garbage for their young all-star. Fight it all you want but Parsons is the star piece to getting Love.

Lowry would definitely add strength to the Rockets. If I was Lowry, I would feel uneasy because he could be a potential asset in a future trade for Love, if the Wolves decide not to accept any packages for him at this point.

I don't see Lin being traded to the Wolves, or even Philly at this point.

News out of Toronto. Seems like the offer Toronto may have on the table is reasonable and the Rockets definitely have a chance if this is accurate. 4 years for 44 million. 11 per. Not bad.

You can't take a dog on the same walk over and over without it remembering familiar sounds, smells and choke-chain pulls. He'll walk with you for awhile though. :)
