No. He's not good enough at SF to spend that much money on especially as he gets older.

I was very skeptical from the onset that Lowry would take any offer serious from the Rockets. Morey had already traded him once, and he couldn't get along with McHale. Didn't really make sense to me.

I really hope that info was wrong or it's just a rival team trying to stir up trouble.

Two points against it. The Rockets don't know how much Parsons will be paid and they need his consent.

If it were true this could be very insulting to the unsigned player put on the trade block.

He's admitted he was wrong in the McHale dispute and has said he wished he could go back and play for McHale longer because McHale was a good coach trying to teach him things that he should have listened to.

As for Morey trading him, Lowry wanted out so I doubt he holds it against him that he traded him.

He's probably taking it seriously, but Toronto does have its advantages. It's in the East. He'd be the marquee player for that franchise. He can get more money from them. And they did make it farther in the playoffs last year than the Rockets(albeit only by a single game).

I'm guessing Parsons and Rockets made a deal where the Rockets agree to allow him to be a RFA this year and get paid earlier, and Parsons gave the Rockets a list of teams he would be willing to S&T to. Otherwise, all this S&T talk about Parsons makes no sense.

Also, I think Lebrons' 1-2 year deal will really hurt Miami's chances of landing Lowry or any other good FA who is not an aging vet. Lowry does not want to be stuck in Miami post Lebron. An aging and unmotivated Bosh and Wade are not attractive.

Only aging vets who care about 1-2 years will really look hard at miami. There are too many other good options out there for a good player looking at a 4 year dea.

LOL he's never coming back. I can already see it. Harden jacking shots, not playing D, he's already frustrated, then McHale pulls him over and goes off on him for some random turnover.

That Parsons trade is ridiculous, NO WAY is that real.
Rockets would think twice about trading him for love.

Theyd think twice and then would probably do it. I can't see Morey walking away from an all-star just to keep chandler, not now that he's no longer going to be a bargain.

Chandler is an eastern all star if Lowry is. Trading chandler for Lowry would be an epic mistake.

Making that trade creates a giant hole in e starting lineup, Lowry just improves a position that inst a hole.

Now if we trade Parsons for Lowry and still somehow land Melo then we have owned free agency again!

If we sign Lowry then doesn't that eliminate us from chasing Melo or LeBron?

The leak that a commitment could come tomorrow is interesting. It could have a lot to do with the Melo visit.

Would anyone care to do a simple tax analysis on income tax in Toronto, Ontario vs. Houston, Texas. A couple websites I visited indicate that the overall income tax rate would be somewhere around 46% in Toronto. I'd like to know if that's true. Because if it is....that's quite a bit different than 35-38% here. That means a 4/48 contract in Canada would equate to 4/43 in Texas ..... roughly.

Can any tax guys here verify?
