    You're being nice

Too bad Fabian Johnson went down. That must really suck for him. So sad

There wasn't much stoppage is that 2nd extra time. Maybe the ref should have given 2 minutes, but Belgium certainly deserved the win over us.

US never plays aggressively. We always sit back and wait to counter. Our possession in the midfield is horrible. 4 years later and still the same result. Our team isn't growing as much as it should, or at least not as quickly as I hoped it would.

Belgium were the better team throughout 120 minutes. Absolutely dominated USA for the first 105 minutes of the match.

Do we have any up and coming young midfield players?

We really need some quality in the midfield. The lack of it puts a lot of pressure on defense and our guys up front.

I thought Johnson going down was actually a positive for the US. Yedlin played great

This is true, but I think they play scared a lot of time. Intimidated as someone else says.

When they go down a goal, they look like a completely different team.

Maybe if the US didn't park the bus 30 minute on they would've had a chance

I didn't see USA playing any differently when they went down 1-0. I think what happened was Belgium let off once they went up 2-0 and gave the USA momentum.

Another world cup, another round of 16 exit
On par, sick of getting outplayed on the world stage by minnow nations
There's a fundamental issue with the pros and it needs to be addressed

If this doesn't make the U.S. love football then I don't know what will.

Also, I'm really excited about Yedlin and Green.

Green's little dribbling display he had near the end of the game was a rare sight to see by a US player.

The future looks bright at least, and the team has raised expectations going forward which is huge.

Bradley played "fine" but ultimately, this team isn't ever gonna take the next step until they find a midfield that can keep possession. Bradley just didn't play spectacularly the entire tournament save the last bit of this game.

But the future looks bright, a lot of young guys played valuable minutes in this wc and will only get better

Agree to disagree, I don't think Belgium let up at all. They still tried to go forward and score.

I just think they play without fear when they go down one, it has been said but they play a lot better when they go down a goal.

Overall, a great tournament for the US. To get out of that group was a huge achievement.
