Wow! Meeks getting 6.3 per? The crazy season. So many teams are flush with cap room. What a time to be a free agent!
and this, not so relevant tho <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Free agent Cartier Martin has reached agreement on a one-year deal with the Detroit Pistons, league source tells Yahoo Sports.</p>— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA/statuses/484077051142348800">July 1, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
I suspect SVG will slowly remodel that roster to be very similar to his Dwight-Magic days, just this time with Drummond. In that sense, Meeks is a decent get, though at a steep price. very steep for a guy with a 14.7 PER.
Cartier Martin has pretty good range (career 38% 3PM). Jodie Meeks is a solid shooter; coming off 40% 3PM Factor in Andre Drummond and its no secret what SVG is trying to replicate in Detroit...

shocked at the pay out given to Meeks - thought SVG would be smarter than that really starts to drive up the value of other free agents - i mean if Jodie Meeks got 6.3 - why should Parsons, Hayward, Lowry, Deng etc settle for 8-10?
Coaches should coach. The whole "coach moonlighting as GM" thing is almost always a colossal failure.
