@WojYahooNBA: Houston Rockets GM Daryl Morey has traveled to Philadelphia to meet with free agent guard Kyle Lowry tonight, league source tells Yahoo.

This is nearly identical to what my line of thinking has been as of late. I think Morey will play hard ball and keep Parsons out of the trade talks. I feel like Golden States refusal to include Thompson in a trade for love will have a major impact on the market for Love. Beyond GS and Houston is it even known what teams Love would sign an extension with (yes, i am assuming he would sign one with Houston)?
PHX would make an offer, but I doubt Love would agree to an extension right now as they lack a true superstar, so that would severely hamper their willingness to put together a huge package for Love.

Boston would likely also be willing to make an offer and if Love is willing to resign there would likely be able to put together the best package of picks. I'm not 100% sure of where their cap space is, but they might also be able to take back some bad contracts.

So if Love isn't willing to resign with either PHX or Boston what teams does that leave? Houston and GS? In my opinion, if GS won't include Klay Thompson then we shouldn't have to include Parsons. Depending on how the Wolves value Barnes vs Jones, I feel like we could beat a Klay-less offer from GS with our own Parson-less offer.

In short, I feel as if the market for Love is set by just a couple factors: his willingness to resign with a team and whether or not GS is really refusing to include Klay in a package for Love.

Great article Clutch. Morey is a very smart GM. He is doing what is expected --keeping all options open. I agree that even if we do lose out on a top FA, we are still a formidable team. Another year together, may be enough to get us over that 1st round playoff hump. As long as we get some defensive-minded and savy roleplayers/vets at the 2, 3, and 4 spots, we'll be okay.

Would we be able to get Love and Lowry? That would be my ideal situation.

Would love it if we could get Love without giving up Parsons, and if we could sign Lowry.

    PG: Lowry, Beverley
    SG: Harden, ...
    SF: Parsons, ...
    PF: Love, ...
    C: Howard

    Awesome, no weak position!

Makes more sense to me than Carmelo Anthony.

Of course, you try to pitch for Lebron, but the chances are really slim.
