As a PF he was wonderful as a role player in my opinion, despite being lost a lot on the court. I remember watching him play the 5 and just getting manhandled, he was clearly not strong enough.
Great answer. I get what you are saying. Does anyone wish TheYoYo was in Phili right now giving us updates? That is, if he really is meeting Kyle Lowry in Phili tonight.
My prediction is that our plan is that we try to get Lowry to commit to signing tonight. Then we work on the ground works for a SNT for Love.
That just be due to the fact that getting Kevin Love = Walk-Off Grand Slam. There is no strikeout after that because. Rockets would've already won the offseason.
Maybe you missed every Laker game this year, he would be the worst defensive PF on the roster and seeing as how he has very little offensive game outside of a few feet and can't hit a 3 to save his life, he'd kill the spacing.
Love and Lowry would be a grand slam. The entire NBA would turn if we pulled that off. The Spurs would send the trophy down I-10 with a note that says it's "rent to own".
I for one am proud to have missed every execrable Laker game this season. By the way, if Maury planned on getting Lowry as his first move, I'm really worried about the big $12-14M offer Toronto allegedly is planting on him. Hrrrmmm.
If Lowry is willing to commit. I think that the fact that we have the salary cap would help convince Uriji to do something like Lin + future 2nd round picks for a SNT'd Lowry @ 12 per.
That's what it's turning out to be. Then we try our luck on Love. James and Melo are pipe dream right now. We'll just be doing our due diligence on them. It's Lowry and Love all along.
Lowry, Love, Harden and Howard combined for 87.7 ppg last year. You don't need much else to come up with 60+ W's. So, Jordan Hill would not be a strikeout at all.
Well, obviously all their numbers would go down in tandem, but damn that's a crazy point total lol. If this seriously goes down, it'd be a much better lineup than Melo would have left us with.
Didn't one of Doc's tweets have two L's capitalized or something to that effect that made them stand out? Lowry and Love could very well be our first option.
My 2 cents. 1. Toronto isn't going to help us through S&T for Lowry. 2. Working with Toronto is unnecessary. Rockets trade/waive everyone except Lin/Howard/Harden/Canaan/Beverley/Parsons/Jones/Capella(maybe). This puts us at ~$11mil capspace. Sign Lowry to a 4yr/~$50mil contract. Trade Parsons(S&T), Jones, Lin, Capella, NO pick, future Rockets pick to Minnesota for Love and Kevin Martin. Howard Love ???(James Johnson?) Harden/KMart/Nick Johnson/Troy Daniels Lowry/Beverley Pretty unbalanced roster, but workable under the cap.
