Wouldn't you guys rather save your money and invest it by using Houston light rail?

Stay away from anything made by Chrysler. They look great, but my god their quality is by far the least. They're being outpaced by every other manufacturer. As for right now I would probably stay away from Chevrolet as well, even though I personally drive one. They are taking huge hits and I don't think it will stop.

The 2015 f150's look to be the truck setting the next bar. Just stay away from their Ecoboost models. They have very little durability. Nearly all their Ecoboost models are failing. The 5.0's are fantastic now.

Tundras are fantastic too, but they tend to be overpriced with not much more included over the other manufacturers. Toyota has their long history of dependability, but as of late that has been taking a hit.

Just test drive them, and pick what you like the most.

this is my main problem. You can't make sorry vehicles and then skip everyone else and say we just stepped up the game. Toyota and Chevy took hits due to recall but they come forward and admit it and fix it, that doesnt mean now they completely suck. Look at how many old corollas and silverados you see on the streets.

Agree about Chevrolet making dependable trucks, but by no means have they stepped up to owning their mistakes. They were forced to admit mistakes made over 10 years ago and are now paying for it. They've killed people, and only because it wasn't worth replacing a single spring that would cost only a couple of cents. What's worse is they hired their new president, the first woman to ever run the company, and only in order to throw her under the bus. Same goes for all the Toyota crap. None of these companies own up to anything. They only make lite of issues once the public becomes know, and that's only usually because of tragedy.

The only GM vehicle I would by are their trucks. Nearly every car they make is trash. I swear by Silverados, Tahoes, Escalades, etc... But I would not be a car from them. I wouldn't by any Chrysler, Owned two and both were the worst vehicles I had ever owned.

Anything Ford pre-dating 2012 is trash. Everything beyond that, I've only had good experiences. Their early modular engines were underpowered, transmissions overheated, frames were weak, etc... Triton anything is awful, and stay away from their v10s.

If I could own a Ram/Dodge, I would just take a Cummins and mate it to a HD Chevy with an allison transmission. Sad to say their best feature, isn't even theirs.

Don't hold stock on Nissan. Last Nissan I drove was a Datsun 280z. Badass, can't say anything about their new vehicles though.

Toyotas are usually great. My family owns a gaggle of them. Have an Uncle that runs a dealership shop in Houston. Wouldn't turn you away, they are just overpriced versus their competition. I guess you're buying the piece of mind, but with such a drop off in value once you roll of the lot, I'm not sure I could personally take that hit.

alot of companies have had recalls recently, like someone said before just test drive them all and decide for yourself. Chevy is the only one i would hesitate to get considering everything theyve gone through the past couple of years.

2014 F-350 and get it stacked and jacked. A whole lot of fun and a bigger chick magnet than any Porsche I had.

If you want a full size truck, you buy a f series or silverado. Lasting 200 to 300K miles is pretty typical for them and parts are easy to find when they do break since they are the best selling vehicles in the US. Tundras are decent but they get crappy gas mileage and they aren't proven like American trucks are.

Chevrolet hands down. I bought a crew cab Texas Edition with 20" rims last month. Not 4 wheel drive because I really don't need it. Rides and drives like a car.
