Because Löw made us a slow team on defense with his dumb decisions. Can't believe it.

The danger of having Mertescaker as your last line of defense.

The dude is slow as molasses.

Algeria has come to play, that's for sure. Anyone else think Slimani might get an offer from an EPL or Serie A team after this?

Löw has to sub in Großkreutz or Durm right now, Mustafi or hoewedes have to go before it's 0:1.

The more I watch this the more I'm disappointed that the US didn't attack more, especially with Beasley and Johnson.

Starting Hummels and Schweinsteiger helped, you can't compare these two games. We're a mess today.

Is this game so far a bad sign for USA against Belgium? Is Group H better than we thought?

Schweinsteiger has started this one as well. The only difference is Hummels but that doesnt explain their midfield play today.

Kroos has been terrible this game and that is the biggest difference.

None of that matters in the knockout stages.

Its a whole new ball game.

Germany needs to put Klose in.

They are much more dangerous with Muller and Klose in tandem.....just as they were in 2010.

Part of that it aint 2010 and Klose cannot run 80 minutes

    Maybe for 20-30 minutes

Germany is realllly missing Mats Hummels.

And my goodness, Manuel Neuer is the best goalkeeper in the world. Love the way he plays. Sweeper Keeper at its finest.

Mertersacker is a liability because of Algeria's pace. The whole German D is pretty big and slow which is a bad matchup.

Loew is the biggest idiot. It's so obvious that Mustafi is a 2nd division guy at best. Put Lahm at right back, finally, you moron. Put in Klose. Durm for Hoewedes.
