Kid is a piece of sh#t on so many levels. I hope he flops in his new role. He's a classless egotistic ass.
Actually he's a battered husband. Didn't you read the news? His wife beat him, but he didn't want to come out and say it.
It looks like this really does stem from King... Per Grantland... http://grantland.com/the-triangle/g...e-jason-kidd-mess-has-a-144-million-pricetag/
what a piece of ****. A terrible coach thinking he's worth more than he is, taking another's job in the process...Kidd's actions are nauseating.
Given the timeline of events, it looks like the hate should go to the Bucks and not so much Kidd, even though he's no saint. I don't see where he was campaigning for Drew's job. I bet they'll even talk about this if they haven't already. Let's wait to hear what Drew says.
The Bucks get hate, sure, but do you think it's a coincidence that the Bucks, owned by someone with connection to Kidd, reached out to the Nets to try to get Kidd at the same time he was complaining to Nets management? Seems clear to me what happened here.
They should interview Larry Drew and ask him if he thinks that he is being moved like they asked Michael Williams Carter during the draft when Sixers drafted Elfrid Payton.
Totally agree it's a business, players get traded cut etc all the time to bring BIGGER market people in just how morey does it here, this is just coaching this time and after coming off a horrible year, I can't blame them. They now have Parker there and have a chance to become relevant and make money. Kidd can attack other players DREW & that record won't. These owners & GMs ain't LOYAL....
That Kidd realized that King was incompetent and wanted King out of basketball decisions? That the Bucks found out that Kidd wasn't happy so tried to make a play for Kidd? And when Kidd found out that the Nets weren't going to isolate King or let Kidd handle the basketball decisions instead that he wanted to explore ways to exit? Seems perfectly rational to me. Was it appropriate given that he's a first year HC? Probably not. However, just because you're new on a job doesn't mean that you shouldn't say something if you see something being handled poorly. I much prefer an employee who tells me when they think something is broken or not working than to shut up and toe the line just because they're new. It's called demonstrating initiative and leadership... which is pretty much exactly what I would want out of a Head Coach.
Kidd's a dick, but I think the bigger dicks here are the Bucks ownership. This whole thing was handled quite unprofessionally.
I don't have a problem with anything Kidd in Brooklyn. Trying to get King fired, take his job, get someone else in there, etc. Hey, that's his team. But what's clear to me is that the Bucks "found out" about Kidd being unhappy because Kidd told them he was unhappy and that he was interested in jumping ship. When the Nets weren't working with the Bucks, THAT is when Kidd then said HE wanted the job as president of BO just to grease the wheels to get him to the Bucks. That's what is shady here. If you have a problem with your organization, resign. What he did is tell his buddy that owned another team that had a coach that he wanted to come take that job instead.
Drew had one of the worst seasons this year, but mchale ups his win percentage every year and finished 4th in west People here would be going crying tears of joy if we fired mchale after a better coach pushed their way in here to coach this rockets team, we would careless how it went down, but are crying about kidd & bucks trying to get better.
