Damn. We need coaching help, badly.

 

This is the one offseason addition I was really hoping for / believing in. Disappointing.

 

any other options out there? lawrence frank? mario elie? bowen?

 

Is Lawrence Frank still out there? I wanna say he took an assistant job with LAC.

probably the opposite. He's going to want to sit back and wait to see if a HC position opens.

hopefully they stay with the idea of big mane guy with ties to the team or city and go with mark jackson... if they start going the "we want a real coach" route and look into karl and hollins it will be a close call between the two.

i think the lakers are waiting to see what talent they get this offseason. if by some chance they land a big name (lebron, love, melo, etc...) i think they will look at hollins, if they miss, they will go with scott.

the nets are in win now mode (although nobody knows why) and yet they hired a rookie coach with no previous coaching experience (again, why?) and that didn't turn out so well. so it depends on what they want to do with the team. if they want to realize they can't win now, blow up the roster and hire mark jackson, cool. if they decide they are still trying to win, they will smarten up and go with an experienced coach and look at hollins and karl.

 

I say heck no to Mark Jackson. That guy bothers me to no end.

 

Yeah this pisses me off. Missing out on Hollins will be a big blow honestly. Particularly now that all of the other strong assistants have been poached. Guys like Adams that could have been targeted for big pay days already got their gigs.

We shouldn't have to wait long now to see if the Nets are really interested in Lionel Hollins.

 

We don't have to wait at all, they're interested.

At least we should know quickly with this. These Russians don't seem to mess around. They do what they want and they do it quickly.
