Fine.... but give me a manager who's good at managing a bullpen... and the rest of everything works itself out. Its the single biggest factor a manager can influence when it comes to wins and losses.
Was at the game yesterday. Three thoughts: 1) Was disgusted when Williams was brought in. That never ends well. Qualls should have remained in the game to pitch the 9th. 2) Carter's strikeouts were ugly. No other way to describe it. 3) When did we get a new PA announcer? Ford was fantastic and had been announcing for at least 10 years. I last went to a game in April and he was still the announcer. Did something happen? I was shocked yesterday when I heard a different voice announcing the lineups and such.
He's swung through a lot of balls like that recently. That actually concerns me less than swinging at bad balls. I'm pretty confident he'll start connecting on those in time.
Has anyone seen any documentation proving that it actually is Orbit's birthday this weekend? Im skeptical.
